With basketball and other sports like baseball/softball when you are playing 30-40 games that bus millage and driver salary can up to being alot.Usually about half those total games are on the road. -

Couldn't this be a liability issue if a kid is driving to an away game an has an accident? Just wondering. -
KHSBCA one usually doesn't come out until a couple days before the season opens up. So probably the earliest that one will be out will be March 4th maybe not until the 7th.

KHSAA adopts new pitch count rule
Knuckle replied to All State Baseball's topic in KY Baseball (High School)
Been a high school Coach for a long time and have never seen a game at any level done with only one umpire. But I've never been to a freshman or JV game in NKY, only varsity. Maybe that is the norm up there. -

Been around high school baseball for over 20 years and have always seen at least one field umpire. In post season play there is multiple field umpires. -
KHSAA adopts new pitch count rule

Can't wait for the first argument between coaches on this one. When home team coach tells the visiting coach his pitcher has to come out of the game because he's at 120 pitches and the visiting coach says he doesn't because he only has 110. Visiting pitcher will have to come out because via KHSAA rules home teams pitch counter has the final say. Will make high school baseball a little more interesting to watch with the extracurricular activity this will generate. Not sure why they didn't assign the field umpire with pitch counting duties. -
The 12th Region has put a team in the State Championship game 3 out of the last 5 years. Who are going to be the teams that have the best shot to win the region and make a run at the State Tournament in 2016?
-
He didn't even make the All State team last year. He is a good player but Mr. Baseball is a reach. Everyone that will be in major consideration for this award in the preseason will have already signed with a D1 school.

Alabama Implements High School Pitch Count Rule

KHSAA is supposed to make a decision on it later this month if they are going to go to it this year or not. Will be interesting to see. -
Alabama Implements High School Pitch Count Rule

According to Alabama system a kid could pitch 25 pitches every day for the entire season. Not sure if thats good for the arm either. -

Who is going to be the official pitch counter? You know the umpires aren't going too. Most all coaches keep up with pitch count, but there is always a pitch missed every now and then. You can have gamechanger and 5 pitch clickers in the same dugout and at the end of the day they will all have something different. If the limit is 120 and it comes the 7th inning and one coach has a pitcher at 110 and the other coach as him at 120 and the game is on the line witch coach is the umpire going to say has the right pitch count. It is going to be a mess!! -
Danville 69 Lexington Christian 60

Good win for Danville. It was a physical game and both teams played hard. Was a a good game to watch. -
Can someone post the roster?
-
This is the best team Danville has had since the 2006 team and maybe be better than that team. This team can't be in consideration with any of the State Championship teams at Danville unless they can when it. They do have speed but not like the speed that was on those teams in the late 88's and early 90's teams. The biggest thing I've enjoyed watching this team do is play with passion. They really enjoy playing and play hard and are very fun to watch. First time in several years I've been able to say that about a Danville team. The credit for that goes to Coach Clevenger and his staff. Hope they keep it up. Its been fun to watch Danville playing at a high level again.

These comments are a joke. Why do you keep posting when you haven't been right for like 6 weeks. I hope you keep picking against Danville for two more weeks, that means they will win State. If I had been wrong so many times I would be embarrassed to keep posting, but I do hope you keep it up for a little longer.

State Baseball Tournament going to a 2 week format
Knuckle replied to Jumper_Dad's topic in KY Baseball (High School)
crazy!! just another way to try to keep everyone happy instead of going to a class system. Also KHSAA just trying to generate bigger crowds and make more $ with the majority of games scheduled for Friday and Saturdays. -
