  1. Sounds like a very good game. Good season for Scott.
  2. :thumb: Great post, I was there for that Walton game at Boone Co.. It's strange how history can be totally different with the blink of an eye.I think of that Walton team often and wish they would have have had an all A tourny back then. They would have had an excellent chance of winning it if they could have beaten Virgie. I just remember that Anderson kid from walton, he was a great player!
  3. I was at this game and am not a fan of either team. The game was called decent, not perfect, but not enough to wine like that. Holmes simply got out hustled and outplayed in the second half and lost.
  4. Has that coach been there long? What kind of size do they have? I remember Donta Smith in high school playing in Rupp and he was sensational. I can't remember where he went to college and didn't know he went pro, that's good stuff! The mighty 9th as you called it came close to winning state numerous times but couldn't close the deal. Maybe if the referees in 1978 would have seen Mr. Charles Hurts (sp?) hand up through the rim "blocking" a shot the 9th would have another one, but as it stands my Pioneers are still the only team to get one. The above statement about the 78 game was the worst officiating I had ever seen. As far as having good players come out of the 9th, I could go on for a while but i'll just mention one. Dave Cowens was a Newport Catholic grad I believe in 66 or so. He went on to become an NBA MVP and was named to the NBA top 50 of all time with guys like Jordan, Magic, etc, etc.
  5. I will be there on Friday if we win on Tuesday , hopefully will see you there on Saturday!
  6. Yes, hopefully they will. They lost the last time to OC by 14,maybe the coach seen something to close the deal. Thanks for the support if SK makes the final as they will need it!
  7. Sorry man, I went to SK , win with SK and lose with SK. That will never change! If I wanted to sell out I would have moved to a particular town in Campbell Co. and turn my nose up at the entire state! :irked:
  8. Very true! Time to lace them up! One thing though, the 8th is very top strong and not strong though out the region, like the 9th.
  9. Heil, walked off the court a couple of weeks ago when NCC played Holmes, don't know if he was in trouble before that, but the Breds are better without him!
  10. OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Good draw, should be a good tourny. 8TH region fans get ready for Mr. HESTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:walk:
  12. Nice preview! Well written!:thumb:
  13. Thank you, still staring at the clock!
  14. [quote name= skfan]When is this draw being held? I think it is on Sunday the 5th, but I forget what time. I'm like Neerfan, I just can't wait!
  15. You said it, not I. Oh yeah, you look up, not down to the north!
  16. I'm off the subject here but I was at an AAU tourny at NKU over the weekend. The Fleming Co. 4th and 5th grade teams were fantastic with super talent. I don't know above that but these kids could really play and should be a major factor when they get to high school.
  17. Thank you sir and good luck to you tomorrow night! You still have some guys out? I had heard you lost some good players during the year.
  18. Yes you are correct about Oldham beating them by 5 on there home court but like I (capitalized) said SK has been inconsistant all year long. North Oldham has played a schedule somewhat close to SK's and they may be a good team, that remains to be seen, but look at there record. It wouldn't bother me in the least to play Oldham again in the first round. They will play anybody anytime as there schedule shows. If they play up to there potential they can play with anybody and that includes SC. 8th region b-ball fans will love watching Mike Hester play, he is a terrific point guard with an all round game! Bye the way, where the heck is Henry Co! :jump:
  19. They have more of a chance than the school you went to! Unless of course you went SC! I'd would have rather stayed in the 9th where you have more than 2 or 3 teams that actually can play. I'm glad they still play the better competition up here, than to play all same region teams and have only a few losses and think you have a squad. SK has been very inconsistant all year and probably won't make it out this year, but please refer to my first scentence on this post!
  20. Thank you, new to the region.
