How is it that when Gallatin almost loses a game hey blame officials, isn't that what they told Carroll County.

Ill take LCA by 3 or 4 no more than 10. Gallatin is the real deal in the Class A but can't go with the Cats on this one. If they do win the 2nd round game will be tough but Cats will not win the whole thing i'm cheering for Paintsville. They are the real deal in the Tourney.

Guards not Officials. Carroll's guards once again show why they can't win big games. 25-30 tunrovers a game will not win a game. The Officials did a great good and maybe had some bad calls on both sides not just one. I hate to say it too but Gallatin is just better than Carroll is. Until the Guards start showing to take care of the ball it will be a long two years for the Panthers. Also bad attitudes on the team is hurting the Panthers. I saw one kid just walk off the court yelling at CC's Coach becasue he came out. Maybe your the problem not the Coaches.

Your right Roberts did have only 2 points but Carroll's "Bigs" carried the load. Proctor and Cheatum had double digit points and Proctor led in steals with I believe 2 or 3 maybe more. The game was sloppy but that's what you can expect from 2 of the worse teams in the 8th region. Panthers are due for a win and are playing much better besides 2nd half letdowns. If the Panthers don't let down after the 1st half CC will win big. CC-57 TC-45

Gc will make it close but to much Rockets in this one. Shelby will dominate on the boards and in the paint. Rockets by 10+. Edmonson better bring his A game with the rest of GC too.

Any thoughts? They both 0-2 in the district. Someone needs to have a big game.

Owen wins game. Neeley is too tough for anybody to stop he is the best player in the district and maybe region. If they stop the other 4 guys on their team GC wins by 10. Gallatin will play hard at home. Be a good game.

Carroll's guards needs to get it together. You won't win most games if you play 3 bigs and 2 who don't but if you have nop guards thats what happens. But yes, long night for the panthers but they need to watch for Henry Co. this coming tuesday.

Plain and simple Carroll has no guards. Owen's Neeley and Downey were too much for CC's backcourt, When a post player hits 4 threes you know something is wrong. Carroll never got focused after the first 5 mintues in the 1st quater. Owen just is the better team. Great job Neeley and Proctor:thumb:

not so fast my friend. Owen did not show any scoring from their bigs. If Carroll can run offense and handle the ball Proctor and Cheatum should score easily. The Rebels will also need to contain Cable and Roberts they can also score big for the panthers. This is going to be a fun game to watch. Proctor and Neeley will play big for their teams.

Owen could blow the game out if the guard play isn't there for Carroll. Owen's weakness is post play so if Carroll's "bigs" produce big numbers it could be a long night for the Rebels. Proctor and Cheatum will have a break out game thats long over due. They been playing well for Carroll and will have a big game i believe. Good Luck to both teams. I'll take Owen thrusday. It's home and with the addition of Daniel it will be a good owen team than it would of been. Allen and Roberts need to have a break through game becasue the panthers will go as far as the guards will take them. But Carroll will play much better than they showed against trimble. Proctor and Cheatum will again i think have a good game for the panthers so far they are the only consistent two there. Good Luck Carroll and Owen

Not really. Yes, Welch made energy off the bench when he came in but thats all he really did. He fouled alot, missed shots, and just ran the floor. Football needs to be more important to him. Losing to gallatin county in football is no good. Be Farve not Vick. They can make that missing piece close up real fast if they get some of the younger players to play harder and want to win. Carroll is getting no credit for the season so they will have to get better. With the Gallatin Steel tourney and than a tough Hancock Co. tourney they will need to be a good team not a ok team. They got Oldham for homecoming and that will be a good game also. Dunlap is one of the best driving guards in the region so they will have to contain him, play a pressure man2man defense like pick them up at the 3/4 court. Also Carroll needs an inside pressence. I really dont know much about them. anybody have any clues let me know. the class a will shape up like this: 1. GC 2. CC 3.WV 4.OC 5.HC 6.TC 7.Eminence GC or CC is to take the title. It will be a dog fight. I'm looking for it to get very physical in the first few minutes. :mad:

Actually i have a kid that is 3. I went to Mercer County than went to EKU for school. I have been a big fan of the 8th region because my younger brother played for B. East in 1999. Giles and Brown are not the best defenders in 8th region or one of the best. I also do think GC and CC is just like Duke/UNC or Bengals/Steelers. They both talk alot and get nothing accomplished, They both lost in the Class A in Richmond in the first round, to who became the Champs, Somerset & Bardstown. So please so me something and i will take back my comments. Giles is a shut down defender and energy player but just like Bobby Jackson he is a 6th man for Carroll County and Walton Verona. He could start for Owen and Eminence or even Williamstown and maybe Henry i really dont know, he is a 6th man best at Carroll. Roberts and Allen and Riley are better than he is he could be 6th man for them. Spencer, Hester, Dougherty, Wade, and Stiles or Lee are the best defenders in the region. By the way Welch is officially not playing for Carroll this year due to some other sport. Thats bad for Carroll.

I also heard Welch could not be playing for the Panthers. If so, Roberts and Proctor will be one of the best players in the 31st along with Perkins.

I'm just throwing out facts. Coach Jones is a real good coach i absoulety agree he might be the best in eighth region but that does not mean i take back what i say. Jones are not the best defenders in the region at all. They are smart yes, i know one is a freshman and the other is a junior or senior i believe. Brown had one good game last year like what 30 some points or something like that, and Giles he brings energy to the team but do not say they can start for a team when they can not. Yes, CC has out did ourselves once again :banana: but dont tell no one :sssh:

6, 7, and 9, 10 could not start for Carroll. The rest could. Jones brothers yes they are smart but just to weak and only hit shots because they are open (Plus cry to their dad for help cause they get balls stlen from them). Giles is to short and fat and has a slow release of his shot but his attitude is no good either. Brown no one really cares bout Brown cause he is Brown He had one good game last year.

I dont think the Coach for Carroll is really pleased to find out that his Soph class killed their Soph class in what 9th grade districts. I know him to well. If Carroll Soph class is good they will have to prove it whne GC plays CC. I expect them to meet 4 times again as it did last year. It's going to be a good game.

Who is this Nate kid from Holmes? What team is he playing for now?
