You missed my point Old Guy....the big write up is pitching when your stats indicate that defense and hitting were what seemed to account for these wins.

Either the Cov Cath D is starting to come around or there were a lot of atom balls....17 K's in 4 games is only 4 per game.

Charlie Lovan pitched seven strong innings but a couple of missed played balls always makes the difference in a close game. The Raiders hit the ball pretty solid, but mostly atom balls.

My mistake....Lovan's HR was a 2 run shot. I know what you mean about the lack of coverage, this has been well known and talked about frequently for years now.

As did DD. Nice solo shots by Charlie "who luvs ya" Lovan and Gus " murray power" Murray.

Not so sure TOG....2 outs you're running on the ping so if Cody hits the ball in the gap you're scoring from first.

OK....what's going on with Conner. I know they are not deep in pitching but it sems like the bats got quiet as well.

I thought Elliot looked good through 4, Cov Cath bats couldn't touch him the first two times around but it looked like he ran out of gas fast. But if you are at 94 pitches half way through the ball game you will get gassed. I agree on the not so heads up plays, like the walk of at first when the CCH shortstop had the runner going home by half a baseline and almost threw it over the backstop. Couldn't understand why Bob attempted the steal with 2 out, up one run and Cody at the plate, he usually doesn' t ru himself out of the inning.

Keep in mind Cov Cath beat Boone 12-3 and Ryle beat Cov Cath 6-5 this week.

Might be a mistake, they already saw him. I hear there might be a time change also...will let you know.

I'am still mad at The Old Guy....skipped lunch to save room for a Mary Burger...and she was closed.

The thing I don't understand is how can he call the runner out on the catchers tag if he thought the ball was fouled and dropped. It seems like the foul call was some sort of an after thought.

Darner hit a 3 run shot to center, Maile went 2 for 4 I think, single and a double, both to left.

They say that baseball is a game of inches, and the six inches between between your left ear and your right ear can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Once the Raiders shake the cob webs out they will prove to themselves that they can play with anyone. Pitching- out of five or six, maybe two or three are up to par. A couple have the tallent but still have the cob webs. Hitting- they won 26 games last year by hitting the ball. This week some of the bats are comming back. D- man for man probably the best D in the 9th.

They beat them 5 - 1 in a game after the Cov Cath / St. Henry game Saturday.

Conner beats Cov Cath. Beechwood beats Conner. Cov Cath beats Ryle. Ryle beats Cov Cath. Boone beats Ryle. St Henry beats Boone. One thing for sure....it's wide open this year for whoever wants it most.

I was supprised Coach Roesel green lighted some base runners today. They stoled 2 out of 3 tonight. Gotta get those runners in scoring position without giving up an out on a bunt or hit and run.

Cory Rieder gets the win, Etch threw 2 three up three down innings in relief. Sonoma (sp) gets the loss. Nicer weather brought out the Raider bats tonight.

I don't think Roesel leaves a starter in for 9 runs in a game he really wants. Ryle already saw Boones' best pitcher, don't Boone will hit Etch....if he isn't used against Cov Cath Tuesday, which I don't think he will be. Ryle by a couple.

I watched NCC and HC in the all A and both are contenders as far as I am concerned. Conner is hot as well, despite the set back to Boone tonight. Fact is though, it doesn't matter as long as you're playing well in May. The 9th is as wide open for about seven or eight teams this year as it has ever been.

I don't think it had anything to do with parents.
