Only when the lights are flashing my friends... We check to see if the lights are flashing at BOTH ends of the school zone before the enforcement begins. I guess those flashing lights need to be "supersized" because peole sure don't pay them any attention...Oh, that's because they are all on their cell phones.. :mad:

It's all going to change again in a couple years anyway...It ALWAYS does..it seems Boone County likes to re-district. The only way to assure your kid a guaranteed spot in a particular school in Boone County is to work for that school. Otherwise, hold on for the ride of different schools to come your way!

I sure would like to see KU play Ohio State..this is where the playoff system would be great in College football. I have no idea of how it would work, that's someone else's job!

Football is the "big money" sport at most High schools...that is the problem that baseball coaches have been fighting for years. We get NO money for equipment, but you had bet your tail that the basketball teams and the football teams get a pretty penny. I just see this hurting baseball even more, and realistically most of the kids who play High school football will NOT play football on Saturdays. But they could play baseball at some school and have their College paid for, and still be able to walk around once they are older.

I have to defend Coach Rash on this one. He has more respect for the game of football, and would never run the score up on any team. I would say that he was probably trying to help coach the BB players from the Beechwood sidelines...that's the Noel Rash I know. He just absolutely loves High school sports...especially FOOTBALL..

Sounds like great coaching and non-stop motivation! Awesome to hear about! Even more fun to watch in action, unless you are the opposing team.

I would feed the "rock" to #15 if I were coaching them....that boy can play. I hope their QB is ok, he is a very good ball player too. Best of luck to LCA..I hated to see them whip up on my Juggs though

LCA has a "for real" kicker...that boy can kick the ball. He hit one from 45 yards with EASE!!

And I could never forget wiffle ball...

I had a "spin off" off the Green machine that was called the BLUE MAX..I did so many 180's and 360's in that thing, that I actually rubbed holes in the back tires!

I said it before...she should have been taken to jail the day of the incident. But I was shunned because of that, now look at all of this other stuff coming out...how many times had she been warned about leaving kids in the cars unattended?? hmm..I see a pattern? and what is her profession? All I can say is that those people had better not lallow her to stay in that school syatem or they will have A LOT of angry parents on their hands!! I think the community is fed up with this one, especially after the video and now this new stuff about her being warned about leaving the kids in the vehicle before.

That sounds like Quantico...Parris Island has no such animal. It's 13 weeks, or for some unfortunate souls a little longer. The reason they have to stay longer is if they can't make the physical standards, or they get injured. Or some just fail a portion of boot camp like the Rifle range and they get bumped back a few weeks. I believe the program you are talking about is the College ROTC program. I'm pretty sure they will have to complete their training at Quantico Virginia. Anyway, I wish him nothing but the best. If I can help in any way, just let me know!

I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one. And I do not see this type of thing ever happening to me because my life pretty much revolves around my child. That's what parents do..At least here in the REAL WORLD.

If he doesn't want to finish College, he can still enlist and then apply for the meritorious Commissioning program once he hits the fleet. He will need to be a "squared away" Marine, but he can earn his Good Conduct medal and once he earns his Commission he will rate to wear that ribbon. Enlisted Marines will know that he was once an enlisted Marine, because Officer's do not earn Good Conduct medals. In case he can't wait to join....there are other ways..and that way he can experience Parris Island instead of that weak Quantico, VA. ..TBS and OCS

I'm sure people who get "ripped" and drive home and run over others and kill them didn't mean to do that either. And that is completely out of character for them too. I'm sure she didn't plan on killing her child, but there are statutes that cover what she did, and she should be punished for it. There will be people who disagree with her being arrested, but this is just my opinion. I would not have hesitated to put her in cuffs and taken her straight to jail. That's why we have Judges and juries. They could decide what to do with her when her trial date came around. I just know what she did warranted her being arrested..DEFINATELY!!

And for anyone who is thinking about joining, I can say it is the best decision that I ever made in my life. It helped me grow as a person, and of course helped me in my current career. Oh, and I am a Marine. that is something that NO ONE will ever take from me. I saw a great bumper sticker that read: YOU WILL DIE..I WILL DIE A MARINE. enough said.. :thumb:
