I was in College and was basically tired of it. I also needed to grow up, boy did that little Island in South Carolina accomplish that!! The only reason I got out of the Marines is because my mother was sick. I miss the military life sometimes, but it is not for everyone.

A lot of prisons/jails will show you a picture and ask you to write a small paragraph about it. The purpose of this is to see how detailed you get in the exercise because you will have to fill out incident reports while working with the prison system.

I think people should have to take a test before they are allowed to have children. (kidding) What ever happened to common sense. People are making gadgets for everything. before long, we won't have to think about anything, we will have a gadget to think for us.

She needs to be in JAIL..period! She still has not been arrested. I can not believe that. I just saw it on the news and am actually sick that no one arrested her!! She must know someone in that area, but I wouldn't care who she knew, She would be in the back of a cruiser. And now the Police need to patrol for parents doing there jobs (being parents). Are you kidding me?? If I did see a kid in the back of a car with the windows rolled up and I found out who the parents were you can bet your tail that that parent would not like the concrete cells at the Boone County Radisson. That's the problem with society today in general. Everyone is in too big of a rush to go NO WHERE...That's why she left her baby in the back. She was in a hurry to get to work because she was running late. That's my guess, but I'll bet I'm right. Now we will never know because she checked into a psych ward. I think she did that because she had an Attorney friend call her and tell her that if she didn't do that she would definately be arrested and would probably lose her job. It's a joke!! I don't know if I am right, but man I sure would love to find out because I am furious about this small child losing it's life over this woman's stupidity!! I'm so glad I got to vent..sorry if I offended anyone but it's the way I feel about this situation. If everyone would just slow down in there day to day lives a lot of things would change. We would see a lot less road rage, accidents, and people leaving there kids in cars!! Think back to when times were slower and frankly better! We only live once, why do it in such a big rush!

I would have to say up on the mountain in Letcher County ( I think) at Jenkins. It was a new field put right on top of a strip mine and it was like playing in a sand box. Hopefully things are better up there now! They were working hard..and we all know how tight money is in high school baseball

She is going to hurt or kill someone if they don't do something with her. She is way out of control. And obviously the rehab is not working for her, so she needs to hit the slammer for a while! It angers me that people think this is big news/entertainment..

I'm sorry to see Coach Parrett leave, I think with a little time he was headed in the right track. High School is a lot different than Middle School..I guess time will tell. The folks in Owsley are kind of like UK basketball fans..they are rough on the coaches if they are not winning! It's a good thing we won a few games while I was there!!(at least in baseball) :p

The terrorists know that the US does not have the "guts" to stick to the war because of our liberally minded media and all of our war protests. War is not always the solution, but I believe that our President knows that if we just give up then we have done all of this for absolutely nothing. All of our "long term" plans are only 4 year plans and that is all because of elections. Don't you think the terrorists know this?? Just look at the past history of what we have done when the terrorist use crude suicide bomber tactics...we pull out..we can not do that everytime, and the President and his staff realize this.

It just seems like they are always in Knott Co (.or Clay).. I'm just glad they are catching these politicians who are doing this stuff, no matter where they are..NKY, EKY, CKY, or WKY..doesn't matter...they are elected officials and should be held accountable for their actions! If you can't run an honest race/office..don't put your "name in the hat" for election.

I agree..I wish the kid all the luck in the world but being a D-1 quarterback takes something special.

I am a huge Samuel L. Jackson fan, but I have to say I was not pleased with the movie. I guess I was expecting more because of all the "hype".

Look at the corruption that goes on and all we are talking about is gravel and paving of roads...there is no wonder the criminals do whatever they feel like doing and never get punished for it..(well it depends on how many votes their family has, and it depends on what County they are in) I guess Eastern Ky keeps the FBI pretty busy!

I will bet you that the Judge Exec is a Democrat....that's what is wrong with politics today...when the republicans are in office they are trying to catch the democrats doing illegal stuff, and when the democrats are in office they are trying to catch the republicans doing illegal stuff....let's all just come to an agreement that politics is crazy ! (especially in Eastern KY). just trust me, I speak from experience.!

It will take me several lessons to figure out the game of golf. I have always been able to just pick up and play pretty much any sport and be pretty competative at it, but golf, that's another story! I will hit one beautiful shot out of 20. And to think I have to slow down to hit a better shot?? CRAZY.. I want to try to hit it as hard as I possibly can...there's no fun in not swinging hard! I have been told I just haven't gotten the "fever" yet.

I will see if I can get the GURU to take a road trip with me so I can show him the "links" in Owsley County. He's not a big golfer I don't think.(but he does enjoy the other fine things about golf :thumb: ) I can't slow my hands down enough to enjoy the game!! I just can't get rid of that baseball swing...I need A LOT, I repeat A LOT of lessons.

I am trying to find a plaque for "TRINITY'S ROCK" so that everyone who plays Sag Hollow will know the name of the large rock they just whacked . I'm sure the people on here from Louisville (especially Louisville Trinty) will like the name of the rock. Too bad it's named after my little "princess"..ha I will never forget that 21st birthday party! It was a great one.. you take care of the "el presidente" of the golf association down there. I know a little girl who sure misses her papaw. Her and the wife are coming down soon to see him.

You line it up Professor, and I will help you anyway I can. I will bring some of these boys from Northern KY down to beautiful Owsley County. There have been a few ask me for directions to Sag Hollow. By the way didn't you cook for us one year right around my birthday!! ha ha :banana:

Some people are amazing..no matter what people do they want them to "just get help". Unless they hit someone in their family head on in a car going 100mph while high on drugs, then all of the sudden they want them prosecuted to the fullest!!. You can not help everyone, sometimes they have to be helped by being placed in a small concrete cell with all their stuff "daddy" has given them taken away. But that's just my opinion..what do I know..:irked:

I think we know enough people in Owsley County that we can find places for the BGP mods to stay Professor. I know the guy who owns the hotel in Lee Co next to the Dairy Queen. I'm sure we can get a pretty good deal. Get that Circuit Judge/BGP member to do a little of what he does best, and get some good rates for the BGP boys! If that fails, they can all stay with Darrell..ha ha

If this is the same Coach Adkins from Paintsville, I heard nothing but great things about him from some of his former players that I played with in College. They all spoke highly of Coach and said he was a great man/coach. I never had the honor of meeting COACH Adkins, but I too hope for the best for him and his family.
