  1. Since the current district schedule tends to be a bit tepid in the last four weeks, it would be nice if one of the Lexington publics could be squeezed into this part of the schedule. But by all means keep the St. X and Scott County series going and also the scrimmage against Trinity each year.
  2. Yes 34 is Taylor Stewart and you can tell the Psychos by what is written on their t-shirts.
  3. Nice low key game:) Tates Creek can be proud of their effort tonight. Looking forward to Friday night.
  4. I was impressed the first time I drove by X two years ago on my way to Manual stadium. Now I'm more impressed. The video was great. You have a lot to be proud of.

  6. Not have to worry about changing regions? Think Scott County will win at Henry Clay? I don't. SC will be done on the first of March. Even if they should get by HC, they likely will lose to Bryan Station which would put them against another district's top seed in the Regional. I thought Catholic and Bryan Station were playing the best ball at this point in the season but Catholic let SC whip them physically in the second half tonight. Too much waiting for the whistle to blow instead of playing on until it did as SC was able to do.

  8. Not much doubt in this one. West kept it close for a quarter but was down 40-20 by halftime. It went downhill from their. Most of LexCath's points were due to some outstanding interior passing by the inside guys, Novosel, Stewart, Heissenbuttel and Burke. Probably LexCath's best passing game to date. If only the Wildcats could have watched this game! On to Scott County tomorrow.
  9. In a lot of states, private schools are given credit for each student counting 1.5 for classification purposes to offset the perceived advantages privates have. If this occurs in Kentucky, Catholics enrollment would be counted at 1350 which may put them in 4A.
  10. Tates Creek has been very erratic this year, so has Lafayette. Catholic has looked strong even without Reid against the likes of CovCath, Cincy Lasalle and at Clay County recently. I'm inclined to think LexCath will survive TC and beat Dunbar to advance to Frankfort. Any of the five could win though.

  12. Thanks. I did a lot of guessing this week.
  13. LexCath lost their starting center to a torn ACL so this could be very close. LexCath by 10.
  14. Novosel is an outstanding center but he doesn't have the power game that Reid has. LexCath still has plenty of height in wing players but Brown was the inside muscle.
  15. I stayed home and watched the UT game. The news about Reid Brown is heartbreaking. Pray it's just a sprain. KHSAA site shows the score as 70-49 Catholic.
  16. As I recall, the Clay County game was on the LexCath schedule at the beginning of the year. I don't think it was a recent addition.
  17. I noticed that South cancelled their visit to LexCath this year. Anybody know why?

  20. Wes Caldwell had to share the limelight this past year with Cornell Burbage. If Catholic finds a quarterback and continues to have an offense similar to Sphires' than he will be in the mix. His stats for the past season: 64 receptions, for 1191 yards and 21 TDs. Averaged 18.6 per reception. He's 6' 2" and runs a 4.4 forty. It will be tough for anyone to beat Ammons though in my opinion.
