I highly doubt the Cardinals are thinking about Holmes right now. If they are, they will never even make it to Rupp.

Pittman should be all state, however I dont think Ricardo Johnson has done enough to be considered. My all state list. Pittman Phares Hood Sanford Jackson Chad Jackson could be replaced by one of the Elliott Co. trio. However I believe he is playing as good as anybody in the state right now. He is the closest the state has to a triple-double type player.

The night GRC played Scott County Rogers was the best player. I was far more impressed with him than Stenzel or Zollo.

That Holmes win was a long time ago. Bryan Station has struggled of late.

The big number to look at is zero. The number of losses Scott County had. Could Warren Central beat Scott Co.? Yes they could. But if you look at the resume of each team I dont think it is that close. Undefeated in state, something that had not been done in 30-40 years, and beating the #1 team in the nation has to mean something.

OJ played when Scott County beat them at Memorial. He did not play when Huntington won in WV. That Warren Central team lost seven games that year. Once again I dont even think it is close.

Ballard ended the season as state runner up with only two losses, both against Scott County.Ballard also was ranked in the top 40 in the nation after the season was over. And no disrespect to Key and Barbour but I would take OJ Mayo against those two any day. Also Bud Mackey was ranked as one of the top 35 players in America that year. How would they stop him. Russellville lost six games and Etown lost five games that year. Once again Scott lost 2 games both to teams that were ranked in the USA Today top 25(Arlington County Day and Huntington in the rematch). No offense but it doesnt even look close comparing the three.

Its the 06-07 Scott County Cardinals. All they did was go undefeated against state competition, something that had not been done in 30 or 35 years. They also beat the #1 team in the country (Huntington High), a team that had Patrick Paterson and OJ Mayo on that team. This team not only is the best the last 10 years but have to be considered one of the best of all time.

Tates Creek beat Male in the Toyota Classic.

Ford is out with a bad ankle. Manning hurt his ankle early in the 2nd quarter. For Scott Co. to win that game when they had two players out with injury and Jackson out alot of the game with foul problem shows what this team is made of. This was their most impressive game of the year IMO.:thumb:

You would probably have a sell out. Scott, Elliott, and Mason have three of the largest fanbases in the state.

You played Scott Co. two months ago. Alot has changed since then. But keep living on that win, you will probably need it tonight to help you sleep.

If Richie Phares is anything other than first team all state I will be shocked.

Scott Co. clinched the #1 seed on Saturday.
