  1. You should come listen to my preacher. He sure doesn't sugar-coat anything. I also think that Joyce Meyer is a great teacher. She tells it like it is....not just what you want to hear.
  2. Totally worth it for me. My puppy is priceless!

  4. Blah, blah, blah. Same ole, same ole. I see not much has changed around here. An old thread with a different title to incite the "hypersensitive" Wildcat fans. :argue:
  5. ^I doubt it's happened in recent history. It's just the conspiracy theorists/Junior haters at work once again.
  6. Brady....duh. Some people are just haters.
  7. Paid $3.89 at the Kroger in Cold Springs yesterday....with my Plus card. It was $4.19 in Wilder. Glad I didn't stop there.
  8. It is not possible to be overrated in NASCAR. The rankings are based on points earned. That is the only rating system there is. There are no opinions or polls. Right now, Jr. is rated 3rd.....because he has the 3rd most points of all drivers.
  9. Well, my first Derby experience was certainly bittersweet. Our day started with rain, but by the time we got to Louisville, the clouds had begun to part and the sun was shining through. Churchill Downs was amazing. There were hats and mint juleps everywhere. You can just feel the history and tradition in that place. My boyfriend, Marcus, and I spent the day hanging out at our seats, walking around the paddock and becoming friends with our neighbors. We really just wanted to take it all in and enjoy every moment. As the post time for the 134th running of the Kentucky Derby grew closer, you could feel the excitement in the air. For those that know me well, they know that I'm an animal lover and I have a very soft heart. I had been reading about, and managed to become attached to the filly Eight Belles, throughout the week leading up to the Derby. Maybe it's because she was the only filly in the race among 19 boys, or because no one believed that she could run with them. Either way, I had faith in her. It seemed that every woman at Churchill on Saturday was behind that beautiful grey filly. I bet her across the board, with the feeling that she would finish in the money. Marcus did the same. We were both proud and excited to see her running second behind the favorite when she came past us down the stretch. She may not have won the race, but she blew 18 other boys out of the water! We both took pictures with our winning tickets, so that we could remember that moment. Our excitement turned to sadness rather quickly, as word about the fate of Eight Belles spread through the stands. Everyone was shocked and devastated to know that she was gone just minutes after she crossed the finish. I was heartbroken, and I cried for her. I was not the only one. It was certainly a somber ending to an otherwise amazing day. The Kentucky Derby is something both of us want to experience again. We definitely learned from this trip (where to sit, where to park, etc.), and we will certainly do things a bit differently next time. It's something I hope all of you get to do some day (if you haven't already). I thank God for the beautiful weather. Thanks to Marcus for an awesome birthday gift. Thanks to Eight Belles for running the race of her life. R.I.P. Eight Belles

  14. So, the people who have responded to this thread is "most?" You make me laugh.
  15. I like Wes too. He kicked some serious butt on his challenges.
  16. I think snakes are pretty cool. I guess I don't have a fear for them, because my brother always had them as pets growing up. I might be a bit freaked out if I saw one in the wild that I knew was venomous. I hate spiders though.
  17. The Miz is my all time favorite on challenges.
  18. I think it's an issue with a lot of non Mason Co. fans. I will just miss the tradition of the Fieldhouse. I love that gym! I will be interested to hear opinions if we end up with a Mason vs. Montgomery Co. final, and fans are turned away at the door.

  20. At least they're not black.
  21. Congrats to the Wildcats on a hard fought victory. I wasn't sure how they would respond, down by 9 going into the 4th. The seniors showed great leadership and Cooper hit some big shots down the stretch. I'm so happy for these kids after the tough season they had. It's good to see the trophy coming home. :dancingpa
