Decent game the first half, only a 10 point lead for PC at the half, game was never close in the second. Big run for PC to start the 3rd quarter.

Little sloppy in the first half. I knew Coach Buddy Biggs would get his team back on track and rollin. The second half it seemed like Newport was tired. A 21 point lead let PC sub in some of there JV......Way to go Cats and lets get Campbell!!!

Pretty much what I expected. Newport just not disciplined enough to play with a team like PC.

Good game from the Wildcats. Newport did look a little tired in this one.

He was stylin and profiling for sure.

 

The Cats started out sluggish but really did a good job of putting Newport away in the third quarter. Good luck to the Cats tomorrow against the Camels!

Good win for the Cats. They were a bit sloppy in the first half. Pat Elliot had the worst half of b-ball that I've ever seen him have, and he was still the Cats leading scorer. No doubt in my mind he is one of the top 10 players in the state. Despite his stats, you could tell he was disappointed with his performance. He was talking to himself on the bench at the end of the game.

 

Belcher did all of his scoring in the 2nd, but spent much of the first half on the bench with 2 fouls. Another big game for John Elrod. He has continued to get better as the season has progressed. He was huge for the Cats last year down the stretch, and I'm expecting to see the same this March.

 

Newport did look tired in the 2nd half. The PC Cats certainly outlasted them. I found it interesting that Newport was still pressing full court within the last few minutes when PC's JV was in the game. Maybe they were trying to keep the deficit under 20. Either way, it was a good win for the Cats. Hope they're not too tired for their rematch with the Camels tonight.

PC had a good game even if it was sloppy at times.They are going to have turnovers the style of ball they play.Pat didn't have that bad of a half,he just has to remember that if he gets doubled down on he has to get rid of it and not put it on the floor.Nothing wrong with Newport pressing,they had JV in the game too and they were behind by 20.Its a problem when the team ahead by 20 is pressing at the end of the game.Hope PC has their legs tonight because they ran them off last night.
