Elliott's hustle from start to finish impressed me, and they weren't affraid to unload the 3pt. shots either. Congrats to Elliott on a good hard fought victory. Just wondering did Devan aggrivate the injury last night he suffered in the Boyd Co. game? He looked like he was in some pain late in the third Quarter.

Elliott is 16-4 Morgan will be coming off a close win against a good team, but I don't think the game should have ended that close. Let's see if that game awoke the Cougars to finishing off teams when they have them down by 14 or more. I'll say cougars by 12.

Caveman do ya think it is the sound system or the fact that our last two games have been only our second and third home games of the season, and they both were hyped up so much that the crowds for both games were almost standing room only. The Cougar fans were hungry for some home floor action.

Until any of us stap on the stripes and a whistle and have the pleasure (or misfortune) of calling a highly intense match-up such as Morgan vs Boyd or other contest of the caliber, we have no clue what call we might get wrong or miss all together, remember we sometimes have a better angle than the refs although they are closer to the action. I'm sure that any game of any sport that has ever been played wasn't perfectly officiated so perfection may be a ways off in the future, or maybe we should look at bringing the instant replay into High School basketball!

Nets, I too would like to see 32 minutes of the cougars at their best. I've said all year they are the most impressive defensive team around. Offensively they have their games, but if they ever bring their offensive game up to their defensive........look out! Nathaniel played a whale of a game, McCowan and Haney compliment each other quite well around the basket, one always looking to drop the ball down inside to the other. Adkins, Young, Montgomery, and Henderson very tough defensive players. Good Win for the Cougars! But I don't think the game should have ended that close, not taking anything away from the effort of Boyd County, they never hung their heads at anytime during the game and that's why they were there in the end.

Morgan 62 Boyd 48 Owens is a good athlete, but Morgan's defense stays solid 8 men deep. So while Boyd is resting Owens. The Cougars will be able to sub without missing a beat.

BogeyMan, I hope you understood the intent of my post. Records go out the window come tourny time, then it becomes one bad game and your liable to be sitting in stands(that includes favorites,dark horses, and long shots). I think this is where playing a tougher schedule and being able to at least compete is a plus for any team.

Just to make sure I don't ruffle any feathers. Ashland has played a very strong schedule this season, with some close games against some really strong teams. If there is anything to that saying "playing better teams makes you better" then Ashland should be fine come tourney time. Just check out the records of the teams they have lost to and some of the teams they've won against.

Russell, East, and Rowan. These three have had their ups and downs this season but as we get closer to district and regional play they are becoming more dangerous. Fairview, Ashland, and Elliott are more apt to show up on a regular basis and make any game a tight one, so I have a hard time considering them sleepers.

10-4 Nets. It helps teams to learn to focus on the game at hand and sometimes teaches them what happens if they don't. Without a doubt Coach Perry, Coach Trusty, Coach Gamble, and Coach Hamilton will have the boys prepared as far as offensive and Defensive strategies go, but it will be up to the players to be focused on the game at hand and take care of business! Having said that I take the cougars by at least 13.

Morgan by at least 12. Their first chance to play at home since Menifee game, so I think they will be ready to defend their home court.

As I listened to the game on the radio Morgan county was leading in the first half 9-?. According to the play by play announcer Morgan scored another basket but never got the credit for the basket which would have made them 11 points at the end of the first Quarter. Was there a basket waived off at the end of the first Quarter?
