Aside from the favorites Morgan and Boydand Russell. Who's the sleeper teams? West Carter,Fairview,Estill County. What's your thoughts?

Estill is not in the 16th, you probably meant Elliott Co? Elliott, West and Fairview are all capable of beating anybody on any night. This will be a fun week to watch these teams battle it out in the All A.

Depending on which Fleming County team shows up to play, they could make some noise. The Panthers have played with nearly every team this season, but have 5 or 6 minute lapses where they lose control. If they can do away with those little mistakes, they could be a team to watch out for.

I think that considering their record, you'd have to count Ashland a sleeper/spoiler. I'm not one that believes they are so terrifically coached but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't sneak up and bite a team with a better record, district or otherwise.

Preseason #2 team can not be considered any kind of sleeper. They are considered over-rated until if or when they begin to win games.

You're wrong, because by your definition, Fairview would be a sleeper. When you're 5-9 on the season, 2-3 in the region, and 0-2 in your district, that would qualify you as a sleeper in the postseason. Preseason polls mean NOTHING!

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there several more games left before the postseason? How can a sleeper team be picked in the middle of the season? Preseason polls mean exactly that. They are educated observations of expectations.

Fairview isn't a dark horse. At this point, anyone that doesn't believe Fairview is one of the top teams within the region is blind.

Ashland, in my mind, is now playing the role of dark horse. I don't see how (at this point in the season) anyone can consider them a favorite, but anyone that overlooks them can find themselves sitting at home while the rest of the district or regional tournament unfolds.

Just my .02 cents' worth.

Ok, Elliott is 15-3 on the season and 10-3 against the 16th Region. They are also 2-0 in their district. I would expect them to get to the regional tourney and be a contender.
