Ashland is always a threat to win the region. They may well be a force by March. It is often posted that their schedule is difficult. Does anyone know the overall records of the teams that Ashland has defeated and the teams that have beaten them? How many top 25 teams have they played? I think that would be interesting information. I am aware of maybe two top 25 opponents but, of course, I could be wrong. Does anyone know the facts?

What I see is a team that beats bad to average teams and loses to good to above average teams.

 

With that being said you have to consider Ashland as a dark horse at this time. They clearly have a chance to win the 16th region as do about 10 other teams but I can't put them up there with Fairview, Boyd, Morgan, Elliott, or Russell at this point. Time will tell. One thing for sure, it is an interesting year in the 16th region.

I'd have to put Boyd and Morgan above the rest until after Sat. night then there will only be one at the top.
