  1. I think we will see an LC team come out and put up a few points on the score board Friday night . And IF they can contain the Dial's kid then we will have a chance to upset the Cards . I know they have a good team this year but I still have faith in my Dawgs.:ylsuper:
  2. If any body know what a good defense should be like it would be him . I think belfry's destination is in thier own hands. Good luck and I'll be pulling for you all and hopeing you make it to the carpet once agian.
  3. Belfry has always gotten better as the season goes on I think thats way we alway's try and play them in the first couple of games into the season because we know that they just get better as they go . In the years past we have always been able to give them a good fight but this year it was a no contest. I think the team we have this year is just about as good as the teams we have had the last couple of years but we are trying a new offence. But just to answer your question from what I saw Friday night I think you all have a better tean then you have had in the last two years . I know we sure didn't expose any weakness but thats not to say that you don't have any. The bigest thing that I was wondering about was way so many starters going both ways with the large numbers Belfry has ? If they aren't very deep then that might catch up when you play SC or pikeville and I know it will when you play JC . But I think Belfry can hold thier own with any body they have to play this year . Hope this helps.
  4. Here's one lC fan thats still proud to be a part of the dawg family. To begin with Congradulation to Belfry looks like agian they have a very fine football team and IMO they have one of the best places in the state to play high school football I love going to the Cam and I have allways been treated very well there they have great fans to go along with their team. As for the game I thought that belfry was just way to strong for us in all parts of the game . I thought it was a good clean game and I think Mr. Haywood and his hole program is a class ack. They could have named the score on us if they wished but did the right thing and let thier younger kids get some PT . Yes we left are starters in untill the middle of the fourth period but I think it was because our kids are still trying to get it together . I hope that all of the kids keep in mind that we have the tuffest schdule around and if we can just stay healthy and not get beat down mentally then I believe we still have a shot at winning our district . So good luck to Belfry and maybe next year we can put up a little better game for you all. As for the Dawgs this week is going to be just as tough SC has a very good and tough team also . So get ready for another battle and lets try and come out with some fire in our belly at the first of the game . Good luck and GO DAWGS.
  5. One thing that killed LC last week was that little pass in the flat that you are talking about . Hopefully they have worked on that and made the proper adjustments . If not for that little pass coal grove might not had even moved the ball . But that's a big maybe. Good luck to the Dawgs and we hope both teams are injury free . After tonight I hope Belfry makes that big run to the Pizza box in Louisville:thumb:
  6. The biggest difference in this year's team then the last 2 or 3 year's is that this team can score quick seems in the past LC would have to get the lead and try to hang on . We wasn't a come from behind team at all . But after what I saw last Friday night this team can put points on the board from any were on the field the kids are starting to get there confidence up about the new O and I will say that if they don't get beat down psychically and mentally by mid season you will see a real good ball club coming out of Louisa. And it's not all passing the run game is there also it just needs to jell a little bit more . Good luck Dawgs come Friday night and enjoy the atmosphere at the Cam it's a wonderful place to play a football game.:jump:
  7. Looks like we was on the same page :thumb:
  8. The varsity only played for two quarters and I think the score was 10 - 7 Montgomery . The JV and Freshman played for about two hours and looked really good . The big boys are steadily improving with the new offense. I thought LC lacked the intensity that they are going to need to play the teams that they have scheduled .But all in all I thought LC did a pretty good job . If they keep up the hard work I think they can have a very good season . Montgomery Co. has a very nice team they have plenty of kids out and they looked very well coached as did LC we have a lot of young talent and it seams they have bought into the program this year . Good luck to MC and we will welcome Coal Grove to the Dawg pound next week.
  9. Were is Jason I haven't heard any thing on him sence he got out of school I have thought about him a few times and was hopeing he was ok . But as far as saying he was in the top two WR's that LC has had I don't know . My top two would go to Parker and then maybe Spencer Harris this kid didn't even play his senior year in stead he went all out for baseball and went on to VT and had a great career. But this kid was something to watch he was a real player. Jason could have been as good as he wanted but it didn't seem like he really ever had his hole heart into it and would never really make the full commitment he would show sign's of greatness then turn aroung and look like he wasn't suppose to be there. I think if he would make that commitment then he could play at that level but I also have to remember that he just quit his senior year in the middle of the season but we all make mistakes and shouldn't be punished for them are hole life as long as we have made amends. Good luck to Mr.Spradlin just work hard and then the sky is the limit.
  10. No Lewis was born and raised right here in Louisa he's a 6'6" Junior both of the kids from florida are no longer at LC they whent back to were they was from they did this before school started this year.
  11. Great job dawgs keep up the team work because thats how you beat a good JC team is with team work you all can play with anybody . And hats off to Lewis Michaels he played a heck of a game in the middle he is really starting to step up.:dancingpa
  12. I think you will see Mark all over the field in the tail back spot at the wing back at split end even at qb some Mark is the kind of kid we have to get the ball to because anytime he has it theirs a chance he can take it to the house so look for him to be a very big part of LC's offence in 07:ylsuper:
  13. I think Coty Roberts is as good of a full back that LC has had he might not be the biggest or the strongest but he its the hole as fast as any running back LC has ever had and thats saying alot I don't know if he has ever had a minus yard running the ball. As for Shane Pack he showed signs of being a really good running back if he hits the wieghts hard and really works in the off season look out LC will have a one two punch that can really hurt you. As for LC line I think it will be a pretty good one I know we will miss Kyle Carter but we have coming back is Tyler Hinten and Cody Patrick both of these kids were the starting tackles last year we should also get Brian Scarberry back he was a starter as a sophmore but mist all of the year do to an acl injury the center job most likely will go to Paul Langston and the other guard spot I think Mr. Ben Preston will lock down he started as a freshman and did a really good job LC has several good kids that will be fighting for a spot . And if I know Billy every spot will be up for grabs come this summer so every body better be working hard if they want to get much playing time. Personally I think are line will be much improved from last year mostly because of haveing two seniors at the tackle spots and all the others have quite a bit of playing time allready under their belts which is price less so i'm looking for briter days for the dawgs. :thumb:
  14. Sence Tyler started on both sides of the line this past season as a junior I really can't see him not doing it this year . I have heard Billy say that he should get a chance to play at the next level I have know Tyler sence he was in youth league and believe me Tyler has turned into a fine football player. As For Kyle I really hope he gets the chance to because he has worked so hard I know they have been a few schools talk to him but I don't know much more than that.
  15. It's not just him it's every body it just seems like thier electricity in the air about LC football and it's just December . But all in all are young dawgs are going to have to work thier tails off to get this program were they want to be at . But man it's defiantly getting started in the right direction I feel like we all ready had really good coaches and Mr. Preece will just add to that . So good luck to the DAWGS in 07 in their new class of 4-A:ylsuper:
  16. Welcome aboard STICK i am glad you decided to let every one know . I can all ready feel the excitment getting started in town just by people talking about football .My son has heard storys of when you played and of the teams back then and he's excited about you joining the staff also I think you and him will get along just fine .:dancingpa
  17. I have also heard this rumor but as of right now I guess it's just that a rumor I also have heard who it is but it will be up to him to make the call I just hope that LC will STICK to their guns and go after him because he will be a great asset to the staff we already have.
  18. To answer your question is lC loseing players to Tolsia I can honestly say they haven't as of yet we have lost several very good kids in the past 3 to 4 years but they haven't went across the river they have whent to Boyd, SC , JC, and Paintsville . But after what Tolsia has done this year it might be very possible we will lose a couple to them like you said kids or might I say parents do change schools for sports reason's and I'm sure they do it thinking it's in their best interest. But the kids we have lost in the last couple of years have had a right to want to go some were else because like Stick said are school system has not been the best place to get an education but like he said we have gotten a couple of new board members now and maybe we will get a couple others at the next election and I have said before thats were it has to start and I think we have the ball rolling. And I think every one will see a lot better team next season coming out of Louisa we all ready have more kids in the weight room now then we did in yearly summer of "06" and as time gets closer a program will pick up even more kids right now it's early and football is a long way off in some of the kids heads . I know we have some thinking of basketball and baseball and stuff but when it starts getting hot and the footballs start flying Then our wieght room will start filling up I know I'm wishing my life away but I can't wait untill next season starts. GO DAWGS:thumb:
  19. LC did get some really good players from across the river in the past and it did help the program. But do I need to remined you that you all got a very good player from LC this year that IMO was a very large part of your all's run that you had this year . IMO he was one of the best you all had this year and I was very happy for him and you all for doing a great job during the run I just wish like you all do that you could have one more game and have the chance to bring home the trophy.
  20. I think you are correct it never was the kids that had trouble with this game it was the fans in the stands . I for one would love to see them play Tolsia because they are one of the best teams in the area and I wish them well in their state championship game agiants Wayne and I hope they can stay on top for years to come:thumb:
  21. I don't know in what order they play in but this is who they will be playing in 07. Seldon Clark Coal Grove Belfry Russell Prestonburg Breathitt Greenup Boyd Rowan And I can't remember the other team . These are all quality teams but they are teams that we should be able to play with
  22. I know Russell is on LC schedule next year but I don't think Raceland is but I am like the rest of you all I would love to see it one of my most memorable games as a player was agiants the rams it was all ways a war :thumb:
  23. I haven't heard any thing other wise coach Cecil is a good asset to the coaching staff and he is a great person . One thing that stood out to me this year was on are senior night each senior either a band member or cheerleader or ball player was asked what teacher had the most influence on them and most of them chose Mr. Cecil that in it's self should speak loudly for coach Cecil. I for one really hope he sticks around for many years to come :thumb:
  24. IMO that is going to be the bigest challenge for Billy I think if he gets all the kids out to play especially the senior class men some of the ones that didn't play this year if he gets half of them to come back and play agian then you will see this team go deep in the play offs . If he just gets back the ones he had this year I still think the district will be theirs to lose . I can't wait till next season . I know they have allready started lifting wieghts and I think they have over thirty kids in the wieght room already. So good luck in 07 DAWGS :ylsuper:
