  1. So, what how much whining and crying were Highlands and CovCath doing for years when they were the two best teams but were in the same district.
  2. Ryle will be over matched upfront on both sides of the ball.
  3. If they do start allowing bankruptcy, the first thing that will happen is that they will have more strict rules to qualify. Currently, all you have to do is enroll in college....get a loan...
  4. The guarantee in repayment and easy access to the student loans is another reason for the construction boom going on at colleges across the country. This construction boom is not just on campus, but off-campus housing is being built on almost every block surrounding a school.
  5. Ryle can not line up and pound the ball at anyone. The only reason they can run the ball is because of Morgan and his ability to throw the ball.
  6. Unfortunately we do not get to here that every year, anymore! Well, there are a whole lot of people(teams & coaches) that are glad they do not have to here that every year!!
  7. But Deaton was not good in space, this year they are much better tackler's in space compared to last year.
  8. But Ryle is not better upfront than SK. CC runs the ball in a totally different style than Ryle. CC is QB power, with TE, and a FB lead blocking, this puts a lot of pressure on the defensive front because using the QB as the main runner puts the numbers game in their favor. Ryle is just straight zone blocking only using the 5 OL to block and occasional TE. When the QB does run it is usually on scrambles or very short yardage. If Ryle depends on their QB running the ball....blow out!
  9. SK will dominate this game upfront on both sides of the ball. Last years Ryle OL/DL was better and matched up better vs SK lines but this year is a lot different. Ryle will not be able to run the ball against SK's base defense but the problem is that their DC will go blitz a rama at times and will get burnt a couple of times. SK will have to grind it out and get the occasional home run from Powell. Ryle defensively tends to be where they should be and when they should be there, not many mental breakdowns, which limits big plays. What SK really lacks is a dynamic player on offense that can make people miss. No, I do not think Powell is a make you miss type athlete, he is fast and is good about getting North and South and turning it on, but he is not going to juke anyone(once in awhile, maybe). Because of this SK needs to execute properly across the board to get the big play. Some teams have a player or two that can make a couple of people miss in the open field and take it to the house. I don't think SK has that type of a player and at the same time I do not think Ryle does either. Because of the advantage upfront that I think SK has, I will say SK 31-13.
  10. LexCath is not good upfront and they were still getting pressure?
  11. Sometimes it depends on the game, if they let it roll a little long. If a game is out of hand they let it go a little. Remember the play clock starts on the ready whistle.
  12. The back judge raises his hand when there is five seconds to go on the play clock. The coach should teach this to his Qb. The coach should be managing the clock and end game situations most staffs have a guy standing by the coach with a stop watch, counting the time.
  13. You already received compensation by having less child support payments....
  14. Gotcha, it is all good! Can't wait to see the young man when he gets into high school. I remember watching Colin play for the Chiefs and thinking wait until he starts running the ball! So, little brother has some shoes to fill....big ones! And yes, it is different in different parts of the state.
  15. Correct. The cut off date for academic is Sept 30th. So, your son was born November this year and is in 8th grade, if he was born in Sept he would be a freshman. Based on the state guidelines.
  16. Who said there was something wrong with anything? My point is that he is not a young 8th grader. FYI, you said he was a younger 8th grader.
  17. All the other kids started school late or were held back. Yes, he is in the right grade and is on the older end of the age for that grade. The only ones older than him that are in the correct grade are the ones born in October.
  18. I understand the rules but most parents start their kids at what the state considers the normal age. Based on the age to start school he is an older 8th grader. Are there some out there that turn 15 in 8th grade and turn 19 their Senior year of high school? Yes, but that is a very low number. In fact I bet it is 10-1 the number of kids that turn 17 in their Senior year compared to kids that turn 19 their Senior year.
  19. That makes him an older 8th grader, not younger.
  20. Ok, gotcha. So, it is their own policy? Not sure, if they knew or not. I am not an expert just asking based on what little I know(or heard)....which I think is actually a good thing, in this case
  21. You mean they can't get fired for failing a drug test? I don't think any law covers that, I may be wrong but I thought it only covered those came forward with their problem.
  22. I think that is only if you come forward with the problem before there are issues.
  23. I now have even more reason to root against UC!
  24. No, for after the game....what kind of snack and drink list calls for them to be handed out before the game?
