  1. How 'bout we have our bands face off? Do ya think you guys can win that one?
  2. Awesome, simply awesome!!!
  3. 6 All jokes aside, it was a much better game than I thought it would be. Pikeville killed themselves with poor conduct and Belfry turned the ball over 3-4 times. Overall, great atmosphere, great game, and I'm happy.
  4. You don't even know how much.
  5. Why, did you become smarter since the "kids" took their last CATS test?
  6. Only those with a great lack of football knowledge like yourself.:thumb:
  7. That's why I was comparing Belfry's offense in week 5 to Henry Clay's in week 1. Henry Clay was not clicking on all cylinder's after losing a QB to Middle Tennessee State, a TE to Michigan State, and a HB to Western Kentucky University, among a few others. So, yes, I stand by my statement that Belfry's offense in week 5 will be a better offense than Henry Clay had at week 1. What's so hard to follow about that? Again.......reading comprehension in the city of Pikeville is at an all time low.
  8. Thankfully, I am in the reading comprehension fan club. But nice try at a cover up.:thumb:
  9. He was saying that neither team need to go chest-bumping, but you'd have to read the entire post to figure that out. But thank you for coming out of hiding, Capt. Obvious.
  10. Where is that Captain Obvious guy?
  11. Did I ask you a question??:creepy:
  12. Digging for anything, aren't we??
  13. Yeah, I saw it. What I meant to say is that I wish Pulley would focus on becoming a full-time guy at either of those positions. Right now he is just an athletic QB playing WR. I would rather him be a WR who could play QB if needed.
  14. Or they could check record-books?? In high school, which is the only place comparisons can be made, West was the better back. Head-to-head, toe-to-toe, against different competition, against the same competition, it doesn't matter because West was the better back. After high school Beach seemingly grew into his potential and has made an NFL roster, even though he never stabalized a starting spot at UK. I'm tickled for him, and I am glad to see any KY kid make their dreams come true. But I still think Beach as a high school football player isn't one of the Top 5 in EKY the last 10 years. And maybe that's good for him because he matured after all the others peaked. Point being.....quit saying Beach is this or that because he made an NFL roster. There are some of us who seen the two play in high school, and it wasn't that hard to tell who was more impressive on an KY High School field.
  15. I don't think Belfry will hang 42 on Pikeville, but I will say that I think after 5 games have been played Belfry's offense will be better than a Henry Clay team at Week 1.
  16. In all honesty, if I had a vote it would go to either Minnifield or Beaumont. I think these two do more on both sides of the ball, on special teams, and in every facet of the game than any other players in the state. And they are arguably the best at what they do in every facet of the game. Ammons & Clark both do a lot in every apsect of the game, but the fact that Ammons plays for Franklin Co. and that Clark is at a 2A school doesn't help them at all in the voting.
  17. Most people say it has been a two-horse race between Anderson & Beaumont beginning on the day Micah Johnson was named Mr. Football in '05.
  18. I agree about Kramer being the go-to guy on his team, but the same can be said for the other guys. The only difference is that the others have been their teams biggest playmakers for 2 or even 3 years.
  19. Doug Beaumont - H Vic Anderson - X Kaelin Ammons - Franklin Co. Chase Minnifield - Henry Clay Keith Tandy - Christian Co. Others that deserve mention are Stuart Hines of Bowling Green, Kasey Clark of Russell, Brent Slusher of Bell Co., Jordan Kramer of Highlands, and a few more that I am sure I forgot. But the Top 5 of their are more than likely the guys that will be true threats to win the award.
  20. I've come to the conclusion that Russell folks are happy with Clark, and that Ashland folks are tickled to death that Thomas has finally started fulfilling his potential, and that everyone else is pretty much indifferent. Best of luck to both kids!!!
  21. Thats because Pulley wasn't/isn't that great of a QB. Great football player, but not a great QB. I really wish he would move to WR or SS at the college level. I think it is also the only shot he has at going pro.
  22. I took a stab at the scores, maybe I wasn't as close as I thought, but I remembered who won each game. I guess that counts for something. The Harmon kid is a stud. He IS the only "gamebreaker" on either team, imo. But I don't think he can carry Pikeville past this Belfry team. Belfry sells out to stop the run in their 52, and they have enough athletic kids up front to hold him in check. But the best defense Belfry will have is an offense that will win the battle of possession, move the chains consistently, and keep Pikeville's offense off of the field. All of this will happen if the Pirates protect the ball, and I think they will.
