I think Owens Should Run away with ther Mr. Football award in 06-07 he was the leading rusher in the state most of his junior year. Personally i think the young man could play D 1 football. Hes just one of those smart players that dont come along to often

I have heard that Knott Central is finally getting some younger players on the field. I also heard that some of these might fill the catching and short stop positions. Congratulations Patriots! Some of these guys played on the State KABC Championship team and a State Runner-up KABC Team. Work hard!

I am surprised that you have anything good to say about KCC. Everything else you have said has been negative. I do agree with what you said early about all players doing their homework!!!!!!

I have been told that Stamper does not want the position which by the way is not open. What are your credentials that qualify you to determine that the AD doesn't have a clue. Why don't you quit criticizing the superintendent, principal and AD and support the system or take your son elsewhere. You would be satisfied, but I am sure that he wouldn't!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way, why doesn't everyone just let the kids play sports. And there are many more teams in the 14th region than just KCC and JBS.

How should they fair they have some great young talent from last year and good talent coming in.

I think the "one man show" that you are talking about is over at JBS. Don't forget the turnover that cost JBS the game against Hazard. KNott Central isn't the only Knott County team that you should be worried about. Cordia has a fantastic coach with tremendous talent. Look for them to defeat JBS nest year. What is going on with the KCC program?????????????????

After the game both Stepp boys walked off the floor without shaking hands right by Jbs A.D and Headmaster. I wonder if there will be anything done about it ?

Apparently you haven't followed grade school basketball in the previous few years. #1 Carr Creek defeated JBS in the 2005 14th Region Middle School tournament to win the tournament. #2 Carr Creek took their grade school team to the 2005 State Middle School Tournament and made it to the Elite 8. Had Josh Huff not been seriously ill the Indians would definitely vied for the championship. #3 June Buchanan played in the same 2005 State Tournament, but made it only to the Sweet Sixteen. #4 Both Tate Cox and Stuart Stamper made the 2005 All-State Tournament Team last year. #5 Carr Creek also defeated the June Buchanan team last year in the Knott County Basketball Tournament. #6 The Carr Creek players have played with Brent Hall in baseball and basketball and basketball and Tate Cox in Baseball. We respect each other and each other's talents. The things that we don't appreciate are the recruiting tactics of the JBS officials. (Sorry Guru and moderator - I just had to say it!) #7 We all know that Brent Hall would have played at KCC had he not been left at Knott Central and the Middle School after not having been notified of cancelled practice. #8 When we get the entire Knott County grade school players, Knott Central will be tough. Remember that Hindman defeated June Buchanan in the 2006 Knott County Basketball Tournament. We plan to win and will indeed do so. Hopefully all of our players will remain with the Red, White and Blue. Loyalty Goes a long way!!!! #9 Who knows where these players will be next year. Many rumors are abound of June Buchanan and Knott Central players leaving for GREENER Pastures. Who Knows????????????? #10 I had to add. Who on earth knows who will be coaching any 14th region basketball team???????????????? #11 Remember everyone-------Grade School and High School Athletics(Football, Baseball, Volleyball, Tennis, Softball, Cheerleading, Dance, and especially both girls' and boys' basketball has nothing to do with the parents , but everything with teaching the players good sportsmanship and love for the games!) #12 Pat Dad - Support your son's school. Also, support all Patriot programs. Follow your son's lead. He is a fine young man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
