  1. It was mentioned this morning in our hotel that this was the first time a running clock had been put on Covington Catholic? Anyone know for sure if this is correct?
  2. Trinity Woodford County Bowling Green Archbishop Hoban(OH) Ashland
  3. Warren County….I expect South Warren will move up to 6A. The growth in the southern part of the county continues with new subdivisions planned…All of the others: Greenwood, Warren East, Warren Central and Bowling Green I assume will remain in current slots..
  4. This is a good schedule. I’m sure they are trying to fill an open week to avoid a 9 game schedule. Gibson Southern (IN) has a 4 star QB that has committed to Purdue and Hendersonville (TN) has several returnees from a playoff team that beat Blackman last year. Central and McCracken are also nice in state games...
  5. South Warren vs Butler is 1st game of Rafferty's Bowl at WKU. 2nd game is Father Ryan (Nashville,TN) vs Bowling Green. Should be a good double header!
  6. Great List! I played against Al Baker and he was huge and fast. He did underacheive at University of Kentucky. Great example of his athletic ability; I went to a regional track meet at Murray and they had to change the format because the 100 m and shotput usually are scheduled at the same time. Al competed in both events. Rarely does a sprinter throw the shotput and discus. Also, Casey had a great career. The semifinal game with Boyle County in the freezing temps was a classic....
  7. I have seen Bowling Green play 3 games this year. The John Hardin vs. Boyle County game was my only chance to see JH. However, I have discussed both teams with several area coaches and avid fans. We all are in agreement that Bowling Green will have to play a perfect game to beat John Hardin. John Hardin is just as athletic and much larger on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. The winner of this game will win the State Championship...
  8. Having seen both John Hardin and Bowling Green, I fully expect John Hardin to handle them in the semi final game. John Hardin's size will determine the outcome..
  9. I brought my HHS corn hole bag, just in case a game breaks out at halftime....
  10. Lamar Dawson is the best college prospect in the state with offers from Southern Cal, Florida, Oregon, Michigan, Tennessee, Louisville, and Kentucky. However, it is often difficult for a defensive player to win it. But, his stats are phenomenal and he is a 4 star/top 100 recruit nationally. 6' 2", 235 MLB that could play TE or DE in college. He was under the radar nationally until he attended the NIKE camp in Michigan this previous summer. Just as a plus, he has a GPA above 3 and has qualified on the SAT/ACT. I'm sure that has helped with offers. He would be a huge commitment for Louisville or Kentucky. I hope we can keep him instate........
  11. I will be in Scottsville to watch ACS and Lone Oak....Hopefully, Bell/Boyle next Friday and 6 championship games in 2 days the next weekend...I love this time of year!!
  12. Christian County wins 14-10. Bowling Green blows 10-0 lead with 3 minutes left in the game. Christian scores td and recovers onside kick to win....
  13. Warren Central 10-8 lead with 9 minutes left in the game.
