It is hard to compare those teams to this years New Cath team. New Cath had a very good team this year but I think it is hard to compare them. In 91,94,and 97 we went undefeated. In 94 and 97 we beat the 3a Champ in Cov Cath.

Beechwood and Highlands both lost in 95. New Cath lost in 2000. I'm pretty sure they were the only team down there from up here. Beechwood lost in 2002. They were the only Nky team down there as well.

The streak people are talking about is actually that at least one Nky team has been in the final ever since 1978. It has nothing to do with them winning it.

It has nothing to do with Jerks. Heck if someone doesn't want to root for someone that is their God given opinion. Let that be their right to do what they want. I'm a former Beechwood player and a fan now. I have never rooted for New Cath until this year. Now am I jerk or anything like that?? Not at all I just refuse to root for certain teams. I agree with this kid from Cov Cath. He had every right to root Mayfield if he wanted to. Fabfour says that it didn't show any class. Now that is his or her opionion. I disagree with that one. The Cov Cath student showed that he wasn't a New Cath fan is all.

I agree with GT I say who cares. Not everyone up here is goingto root for New Cath.

Even though New Cath is favored in the polls I get the feeling that Mayfield is favored bye a long shot from reading everyones post.

Mayfield is 4-0 vs Nky in the finals. I'm hoping that New Cath breaks the streak since I'm finally rooting for them. The streak has to end sooner or later.

If your boys need this site to get fired up on a poll they shouldn't be playing.

I have been told bye many many Beechwood people that the Glenn Miller wanted him out so if that is the case he got a raw deal.

I think he would get the players who are deciding between Beechwood,Dixie and Cov Cath. 4A is a lot tuffer but I can see him doing a better job. He is a proven state title winner. Tom is a great coach but I think that Mike would do a better job.

He got a raw deal at Beechwood and that isn't right. The man graduated from there and he coached there. It wasn't right the way the school treated him. I hope if he gets another job it is at a Class A school to put right in Beechwood's face.

The Louisville ICN6 station carried the game live last year. ICN6 in Nky picked up the feed I would guess. The Nky radio station did the Beechwood and Highlands state games.

I have been told bye some people that this is Burnetts job to take.

This New Cath team is a good team. Everyone knows that I'm not a New Cath fan. TP ever since I have been on BP you don't think a Nky team can beat the cards.

Sounds familar to me. I know that you have said in thee past that you are from Mayfield and that your wife is from Nky. She is from Dixie so she should root for Nky.

You know that I'm a Beechwood fan but this New Cath team is playing some awesome football right now. It will be a great game. Does anyone know if the Louisvlle station of ICN6 will brodcast all the games live like they did last year???

That can be said for every coach in the state. Players are going to say what they want about their coach. Yeagle has the success to back it up though. It has been an awesome run for him. Coach thank you for what you did for the Beechwood program. You took it to a whole new level.. I'm just like one of many players who got to play under him and feel the same way.

I agree with Wildcat I thought that Beechwood was the better team. I wish that the 94 Beechwood team who was like the Mayfield team of 95 could have played. The 94 Murray team was like the 95 Beechwood team they a very strong team. I just wish the state games would have been the opposite years.
