You know that I'm a Beechwood fan but this New Cath team is playing some awesome football right now. It will be a great game. Does anyone know if the Louisvlle station of ICN6 will brodcast all the games live like they did last year???

That can be said for every coach in the state. Players are going to say what they want about their coach. Yeagle has the success to back it up though. It has been an awesome run for him. Coach thank you for what you did for the Beechwood program. You took it to a whole new level.. I'm just like one of many players who got to play under him and feel the same way.

I agree with Wildcat I thought that Beechwood was the better team. I wish that the 94 Beechwood team who was like the Mayfield team of 95 could have played. The 94 Murray team was like the 95 Beechwood team they a very strong team. I just wish the state games would have been the opposite years.

He also did this when Lloyd and New Cath was in the district. Back then the Nky Class A and Class AAA district was the toughest in the state.

I have heard from a coach from there they are going to hire within. If Burnett didn't get it or want I was hoping they would do what Cov Cath did this year.

I bet if you asked every player who go to play under him like myself they would think he is the best ever. I remember when he coached the Ky Allstars against the Tenn Allstars back in 95. I have been told many players had tears in their eyes after he gave them his pre game speech. The man was an unbelieveable coach. It just stinks he went out like he did agains LCA.

Actually ever since they played Beechwood I have been wondering how they were doing. Since the playoffs started I have been watching what they did as well as Alter.

I don't agree with you at all with this comment. Whoever wins the Bardstown Mayfield game will give New Cath or Somerset all they want. I think New Cath wins this game though. I hate when people say that the State title game was played the week before or whatever.

The last team to win up here was Pikeville in 89. They beat the Tigers 49-20.

1990 is the year your looking for. Ashland won the region that year.

It has been a long time since at least one of these powerhouse teams weren't at the carpet. I have been watching football since the late 80's. I'm pretty sure most of these teams were in the finals almost every year. You can count Mayfield as well in A but they are still alive as well. If Bardstown beats Mayfield next week it will be the first time since 1990 even though Scribe already has said it that either Beechwood,Danville or Mayfield won't be in the title game. This is the first time since 1990 that either Cov Cath or Highlands isn't in the state semi finals.

I wouldn't say they are equal. Congrats to the Jumpers on this win but New Cath is playing some great football right now. I say New Cath wins this game at least 14 points or more. They have a very underrated defense. New Cath might have the team this year to win it all.

Question for the New Cath fans. How does this team compare to the 2000 and 2001 team who went to state??

That is one of the funniest thing I have heard. I don't think the Jumpers want anything to do with Sammy or Canafax. New Cath's defense will shut them down.
