First of all, I want to let you all know that I'm NOT making this up! Two or three plays before the game was called, St. X came out with an empty backfield, and five receivers. I turned to one of the Louisville TV Guys sitting nearby, and said, "look out for the lightning, X is in a spread formation! We may never see it again!" I SWEAR that just a couple of plays later the game was called.... I think Glaser did it on purpose! :lol:

It's more important to UofL because the bands have the stadium for two days Saturday AND Sunday--and it's paid for already.... I was also informed in the press box, that this game will not be rescheduled. I heard some unconfirmed information about Trinity declining a chance to finish it at their place, since it's really the only playable field left in town, but no reason why, of if that's even accurate. I'm neutral, but I think it should be completed as soon as possible, but it ain't gonna happen unless something changes quickly.

Last call today at 5:00pm....get them in ASAP.... Thanks for all the good ones this week!

Last week's KNN Scoreboard Show/Bluegraas Preps.com Player Of The Week was Ashland's Jr. RB Matt Thomas. Thomas had 18 carries 174 yards 3 TD's - 1 Reception 12 yards - One interception return of 80 yards for a TD. Plus 11 tackles on Defense. 4 Total TD's in a 35-12 win over previously undefeated Portsmouth West (OH).

I'd have to include Bowling Green fans on this list. The Purples' fans travel better than most I've seen, and their ingenuity in noisemaking seems to know no bounds.

This Weeks KNN Scoreboard/Bluegrass Preps.com Player Of The Week is Trigg County sophomore running back Brandon Bridges. Brandon ran for 273 yards on 22 carries and scored on touchdown runs of 35, 30, 18, and 58 yards against Hopkins County Central. Bring on this week's nominees!

Last Week's Bluegrass Preps.com/Knn Scoreboard Show Player Of The Week was Clay County Sophomore QB Zach Lewis. Zach was 22-28 passing and tossed for 512 yards 6 TD's Lewis also ran for a TD and kicked 7 extra points.Friday in Clay's 55-12 win over Evarts Congratulations! Once again, I'm asking for the help of all of those on the BGP boards this season. If you know of any schools in Kentucky with games being broadcast on radio, please let me know either via this thread, or PM. If you could include the School, Station Calls, and contact information for the station, that would be great! We got great response, and help last season, and I'm looking forward to more this year. Thanks!

I just spoke to Larry Bisig a few moments ago, and he's very excited to say the least. The thing that sets this apart is a long term agreement for the webcasts, and radio broadcasts to be included as a package. This is really not going to change anything for fans, since they'll still be able to hear the games, but with new, and larger bandwidths, the games will not have dropouts, or buffering issues. This is also the first time a large broadcast outlet like Clear Channel has agreed to do High School Sports on such a large scale. As for other sports..basketball will be carried in the regular season, along with some baseball at first--then an increasing number as the contract rolls on. One other thing to note...ALL St. X games will be carried live. In the past there was some grumbling because radio didn't always go on the road, but this is not the case according to Larry. There are many examples of school's games being on the internet, but this is the first to my knowledge with the infrastructure to handle a large scale operation, and partner with a major player like Clear Channel.

From a press release I just received from Bisig Impact Group.... "St. Xavier High School and The Bisig Impact Group have announced a partnership to carry St. X athletics worldwide on the Bisig Impact Sports Radio Network through 2011. This will include football, basketball, baseball, as well as the Jefferson County High School Football Playoffs, and the KHSAA State Football Championships. The arrangement, which includes Clear Channel Radio, is considered unique among high school sports programs around the country." This includes WKRD 790 AM radio in Louisville, along with the world wide web. DISCLOSURE--I work for Clear Channel and am posting this as information only
