We are currently taking nominations for the BGP/KNN player of the week! The player of the week can be from any team and is based on game performance from this weekend.

 

Please submit your nomination in this thread and provide as much background/stats/information as possible from their game this week.

Hey folks--it's been great using all the nominees (last year) week after week on the show, and we'll continue to use them for the foreseeable future. I wanted to remind you of a couple things. When you nominate a player, I need his height, weight, and class designation (Freshman, Sophomore, Etc). I also need the stats to be correct. Just telling me it looked like he ran for over a hundred yards won't do it. Please include all pertinent numbers like carries, pass attempts, completions, yardage gained, number of tackles--you all understand what I need. Otherwise, I have to track these numbers down. Not that I mind doing the legwork, but I normally save this part of the show for last, so I can take nominees until the last possible hour, so I just don't have the time to look it all up. I'll usually pull the information from here by Thursday afternoon, so try to have your candidates nominated by about 2:00pm Thursdays. I couldn't be happier with the information you've all provided, and I'm looking forward to continuing our association with BGP!

Cameron Williams scored six touchdowns for Caldwell County this week. Maybe someone from that area will have some stats.

Cameron Williams scored 6 touchdowns against Crittenden County Friday night. He caught 3 touchdown passes, ran for two touchdowns and returned a punt for another. He had 169 all purpose yards in the game.

Williams caught 8 passes for 117 yards and rushed for 52.

I am not sure of his stats maybe some Somerset fans out there can help me but I have to give credit to John Cole from Somerset, i'm not for sure but I think it was like 14 catches for 200+ yards and 4 touchdowns.

This week's Bluegrass Preps.com/KNN Scoreboard Show Player Of The Week is Shane Popham - Senior Kicker - Covington Catholic High School. Week 1 aganist Boone County. 3 Field Goals 54 yards, 34, yards, 30 yards. PATS 5 for 5. Kickoffs 5 out of the end zone. School Record 54 yard field goal.

I'll try again.......Jordan Kramer ran for 323 yards on 20 carries for Highlands as they beat Conner 42-0.....:banana: :ylsuper: :thumb:

Vic Anderson ran the ball 6 times for 170 yards and 4 tds...that's 28 yards per carry..Vs. Lexington Catholic...in a 47-0 romp.

Mercer's Brandon ford ran for 258 yards and 3 TD's on 12 carries. Corey Jackson ran for 253 yards and 4 TD's on 13 carries.

Joe Gamsky Ran for 133 yards on 9 carries also had 15 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles. all in one half he did not play the second half
