Coach Rice is the AD he should be able to work something out it would be good for all Newport sports. But I am saying the progam needs the better athletes that only play basketball or only play baseball or any other sport to come out for football also. If the program is going to get better the kids have to come out .

I heard Nathin Ilg will be back heathy and ready to make a run a state.

Newport has a lot of athletes that won't play football. They are set on playing only one or two sports and a smaller school like Newport needs those kids to come out and play. I don't know how that would work out with the other sports and there coach because most sports over lap some. I'm sure The basketball coach don't want his star player on the football field or working out when the basketball team is on the court. Baseball is going on i wouldn't think they would want the baseball team together. How does this work out for kids that play more than one sport.

I think the coaching staff is doing a lot of good things. I didn't start this to bash on them. I just wonder why these Newport kids can compete and win there hole life then when they get to varsity it seems to all fall apart for them. I expected a lot out of Coach Rice and his staff. I want to see Newport turn the progam around. I don't know how that will happen. Newport only has a good team every few years. Will the staff be here long enough to put a winning team together.

Newport's football and coaching staff in review. The new coaching staff took over a established program with two feeder programs NPT middle school and the NFF and came up with a 2 and 8 season. This group of seniors should know what it take to win. Threw the years they play in the NKYFL super bowl 4 time's and won 1. They lost there freshman year to Holy Cross in the championship game. I would like to know what any one else thinks about this.

I would really like to see HC win this game but it won't happen Desales is to big and fast, one of the most physical team I have seen all year. Good luck to HC they are going need it.

I found out something in this game. DeSale's showed they are very low class and bad sportsmanship. Under 50 seconds left till the half they was up 40 to 0 and they was taking time out to try to put another score in. They never let up came out to start the 3rd passing the ball. Late in the 4th up almost 50 points they was running a hurry up offence. Desale's was the better team but the coaching staff have a lot to learn about sportsmanship and have a little class about them. I see they same fait as last year for the Colts. NKY team play with class and show good sportsmanship win or loose.
