  1. I look for Roenker to have a big game.
  2. NCC win this game 35 to 12
  3. After seeing both teams play I have to go with HC in this game Desales is a very fast team and they have numbers but I just think HC will be to physical. Good luck to both teams.
  4. I think SK wins in a close game.
  5. Round 2 action how does this game play out?
  6. SuberB you are in for a big surprise.
  7. Good win by HC. I don't see Desales being a great matchup, I will say HC rolls right threw them.
  8. I heard this was the last game for coach Hyder, if so I would like to wish him the best with what ever and where ever he is going to do.
  9. I seen this as a game Newport could win but when you turn the ball over inside your own 20 twice that Desales tuned into points it was a up hill battle. Collins is a very good athlete and had a good first year at the varsity level, if he is back next year he wil be one of the if not the top QB in NKY.
  10. Nice win for the Colts. Newport play hard all night and didn't give up. I would have to say Newport went as far as the coaching staff could take them. Good Luck to Desales next week.
  11. I didnt expect this, nice win by GC!
  12. Newport (4-6) at DeSales (8-2) Last season, the DeSales Colts were one of the best Class 2A teams in Kentucky, as they advanced all the way to the semifinals of the state playoffs before losing to Newport Central Catholic. This year, DeSales cruised through its district winning by an average score of 42-12 against their district opponents. While DeSales hasn't lost a district game all season, Newport, on the other hand, failed to win any in district play. However, that doesn't mean the Wildcats haven't been playing well. Newport has won three of its last five games and was competitive in losses to district foes Newport Catholic and Holy Cross. "We are playing our best football the last five weeks and no one expects us to do anything," Newport head coach Jim Hyder said. "I will tell you what, I wouldn't want to play us in the playoffs right now." Throughout the season, Newport's defense has played well, but much of its recent success is due to its offense being able to put together long drives. One of the reasons for the improvement is due to progression made by junior quarterback Cody Collins, who had never played varsity football until this season. The kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 at Louisville Southern High School.
  13. Newport won the game against Scott 28 to 7
  14. I would like to see Dayton pull off the upset but I just don't think it will happen. Good luck to both teams!
  15. Just wonderin with the playoff comin and some teams may be banged up, would you or should you play injured?
  16. Let the truth be told!
  17. Newport will have step it up this week and play some "D" Newport has not been able to stop the run all year but they have shown improvement as of late. Collins will have to be smart with the football he has threw a few up for grabs this year, Newport will have to get some turnovers. The "O" line of Newport will need to do better run blockin for Short he is a quick hard nose runner but needs some holes to run threw.
  18. Newport D line # 73 Dominic Lewis O line # 62 Nate Webb
