With the gas prices not going anywhere but up, there is good reason to at least raise the issue of traveling. I agree, whining doesn't solve anything, but the cost of traveling should be part of the equation IMO. I am up in the air on the six classes, but this is a reason not to. With schools having less to choose from, they will be forced to travel more.

Very well said. Getting the program to its maximum potential is one of the most difficult goals for coaches. Even programs who win championships do not reach their potential.

I played for Mojo Hollowell and he was big into the fundamentals. A.O.T. means you hit somebody hard enough to put their butt over tin can. :thumb:

When I was watching the passing tourney, I noticed they put him at middle linebacker. I think that is a smart move. :thumb:

I am questioning the strength of Lexington Catholic also.

Frankin Co. was in a tough pool. I didn't get a chance to watch them though.

Western Hills came in third and made a nice showing.

I played for a legend and I know what you mean. But tomorrow is another day. Football at Belfry will go on. No matter what the next coach does, it won't be the same. But that is ok. He will be missed but there is always a younger coach trying to be the best and do it the right way.

Tomorrow the 17th. Frankfort is out. The last I heard, 13 teams will be there.

Josh Smith was a load to defend. If they can find a way to get him the ball, that may give them a short passing game to go with their running game. Hills has good balance. They have a good quarterback who is showing signs of leading this group. Woodford had good rhythm throughout the evening.

Woodford looked like a team that was comfortable with the system. I agree that Hills will be fine when they buy in and learn the new system. It is a good group so I think it is a matter of "when" not "if".

I am interested too. Bruner may or may not win right away but he will most definitely lay a solid foundation to build upon. But make no mistake about it, he wants to win now. :thumb::thumb:

Who are the teams that are going?

Are there running backs returning this year? They were pretty tough last year.

I think this topic shouldn't even be discussed and waste people's time. It is so ridiculous.

1993 - Owensboro Catholic vs. Apollo at Rash Stadium. Jeremy Eades put a shoulder in two Apollo players in the same hit. One on each shoulder. When it happened the crowd immediately went silent. One player left the game but the other one was ok. By far the hardest hit have ever seen and heard. :fight:==> :creepy::creepy:
