Oh yeah, my sons played soccer on Saturdays since 2001, both of them, I taped Bama many times. Now my Freshman plays on thursdays. We had a family reunion in Alabama last year and got there late because he had a 8th grade game saturday morning. A little different, but kids come first always.

Male plays at Lexington and I will travel, now if Bama was on tonite , well... I do hate the fact that a lot of schools will suffer, but its not the Cards fault. A lot of fans just don't have interset in high school football and it doesn't matter. Mr. Network, good post but JVs/Freshman start times are 5:30, 8 minute quarters. Be done by 7.

Western coach feels they can win, I'd be surprised if he said anything else. He also respects the program at Highlands and looks forward to the trip. Jason picks the Birds but in a close one. Like I said earlier, the depth in the 4th quarter will hurt the Warriors, but the Birds will see some speed. I'd love to see this one.

Male is two plays from being undefeated, but thats Ok, they are fine right where they are.

Male freshman kicker, 4-5 for the year, not counting snap /holder problems. 5-5 in warm ups. Wants to make a tackle on a kick off. I said, go down there looking for a fumble, pick it up and go for it. :idunno:

Rain stayed away, Pups 32-6. Butler had great numbers and very good size team. Have a huge running back and they love to use him, runs very hard.

Last week way too hot, this week, wearing coats and rain gear. We were hoping the rain holds off, but the field can take a bunch of water and we still haven't had a huge amount of rain.

We have an area called the hill where kids get to gether and things happen. (Male) They are kids. We (Male Kids) also have done some things in the past as kids, that we don't condone. In fact I'd like to see more police at these games.

RockPride is correct on both accounts, the Trinity fans at their place/away have a lot of class and when I meet one out in public they have been very nice, and I have said some things about him, (to my wife) hey I don't lie. :idunno:

Male two losses one was by seven to a very good Floyd Central team and Male had the ball first and goal from the five, holding call killed them, against Western they had first and goal from the ten with a few minutes left and Western scored very late, so both losses were very close.

Scribe, 6A try harder? I was told that to beat the Rocks/X the Publics need to try harder. In reading all of these comments, I felt like I was in a waste of time, why did I push that mouse on this thread? :idunno: Is there a "Yawn" cartoon?

Male would love to play these teams, Coach Wolfe went to Highlands and our Varsity plays at Boone County September 16th. I guess its hard to travel JVs/Frosh teams.

RM, I said leave it like it is, but the over veiw people are fed up. Look at the teams the Rocks /X are playing and even Male. We are playing at Lexington Catholic/Boone County/ then at Eastern/open/at St X. Our next home game is with the Rocks October 14th. Then home with CAL after away Manual. We have two home games remaining. teams are not wanting to play us either and we lost to a 4A/Indiana teams. Does anyone play a schedule like this?

This game is played on Wednesday 5:30. Not sure why its not on thursday, but last week Male was going to Central Hardin but it was cancelled due to the Heat. Most freshmen played but moved the game back a little. I know soccer and other sports also played. It was CHs choice. The puppies have only played one game and are chomping at the bone to play. I told Mama the way it feels outside on this Monday morning the game might be called off due to rainy and cold. This freshman group has some speed and good height, but needs to bulk up as most nation wide do. I have seen every practice and like the Varsity/JVs they are working really hard. JVs are 2-0 and travel to Jeffersonville on Monday. I'll give updates on both games if anyone is interested.

RockMom, I hope they stay, but when you talk to the general public about HS football they seem to want something diferent. I go to KentuckyPreps.com and read sometimes and they are much worse over there in their comments about Trinity/X. Most Southern Staes have a separate Playoff between the Publics and Privates. In the movie "Blind side" Michael won the Private School Championship in Tennessee. Plus Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia have separate Championships. My son predicts his team will beat both this season. He is a Freshman. :jump:

Male will play hard and has some speed. I wouldn't be surprised in a Male win.

Birds should win, if they don't give the ball away. Western has a D-1 safety, coaches son #12. Depth will hurt Western. Western is a nice team, but I have not seen the Blue Birds.

Western has great team speed, two very nice backs, one small but quick, and a power back. Should be a very nice game. It will be low scoring.

Bert, Male has "3" returning starters. As a Male supporter I have not came out and declared great things for this team, as any other Male person. As we talk about this team with others, family members/Male folks we realize we have little experince, but this team plays very hard same as they practice. The two unforced fumbles lead the two scores for Western, as I mentioned earlier. Male will be fine. They will not quit.
