Graves? WC, Marsh, Mayfield, and Graves fans made the Graves game a shocker. For me, if it was not at least a 14 to 21 point win for WC, I would have shocked. I pointed out a few weeks ago, Graves was not what some seemed to suggest.

I would like to ask a DC fan or PT fan how much better WC is than Henderson?

That is just not true about Graves. Handcock should have been a 40 to 50 point game-over very fast. PT should have been easy. The Calloway game sends up many red flags for me.

"2-3 North Hardin" Henderson is the worst team North Hardin has lost against. NH is maybe 12-15 in 4A. With more of an average west type schedule, their record would be much better. PRP is ranked 4th or 5th and beat them by 3, 10-7. Castle would have a winning record in west ky, and Evansville North be 5-1 or 6-0 here. You have not even played a 4A school while we have played Ind. 5A.

Apollo is not as good as their record.

If it were possible, whcih I have idea, I doubt we would play it. Henderson will beat Grayson pretty easy, but for Henderson, it would be a makeup 40 or 50 point loss with monsters landing on little Lightfoot all night. Thats the truth of the matter, though no one will say it. I do know there was talk about staying in a hotel, but I am not about the specifics.

I did not hear it, so maybe someone can correct me. This week Tom Duffy resigned. It was also reported that Duffer Duffy will not be allowed to talk on WSON. Henderson has stayed focus this season, and the staff and boys deserve some credit, but I wonder how long it can last? Every week they get better while issue after issue is argued in school, businesses, TV, and newspapers. The players really wanted to Moeller too.

The field is a good one. --- The rain has not stopped much through the night. Every hour or two we get a storm. My little girl was up all night so I have had a pretty long night. Its raining hard right now at my house. Every three seconds during some of those storms you would see lightning ripping across the sky.

You might not want to waste your time giving a score because everyone knows Moeller will win big. I was wondering how MOs season is going and maybe how this Moeller team compares to last years team. Henderson folks are very excited to see them play. I am not really sure why we are playing them, but I will be happy to see MO just the same. Last year was an eye-opening experience for me. I just thought there should be a thread when someone like Moeller comes to western KY.

There is nothing else to go on. Injuries, matchups, home field, turnovers, all play a role. I have something I call the Pitiful rule (half joke). If something is so bad like PTs d-line or a team is so bad like Handcock this season, some conclusions can be clearly drawn. With more and more games, the more everyone knows. Any poll posted on here uses what the fan saw of his or her team and scores from around the western part of the state. ---- Does the team favored usually win? The answer is yes, and as long as the answer is yes, there will be far more games where scores point to a favored team. You pulled one example. What about Graves last game? Did you think Handcock was down? Why? You can pick out the Castle game against Henderson, week 1, where the scores after that game do not match up. Since that game there has been a more consistent flow to Henderson's scores and their opponents scores. You are saying look at the Castle score and not the other 4 games ect? Scores mean something to a point, and with Graves or Henderson there are more scores that make since than scores that do not.

I should add I am going on what I have seen so far, for there are off the field issues that may hamper Henderson the rest of the way.

East is not better than WC. A fast check of teams they have played and the teams those teams have played (Not what they have done in the past---this year), will tell you all you need to know. Warren East is better for sure, but they are not 4th or 5th until they play and beat an average team.

If Graves is better than Henderson, it would have to be the best Graves team I have seen. Marshall beat Calloway 47 - 14 (I bet they put on the breaks). Graves wins by 14. Graves only beat HC by 23, which is a 1A team having a bad year. Do any of you know what Henderson would do to that team? Beating PT by 7!!! Henderson took their starters out at the end of the third 40-7 against them. I am sure after Moeller beats us by 50 we will drop more on some polls. And I am sure I will get hammered for this post, but I am just telling you Henderson is better than 8th. :irked:

Your right as far as the offense you saw, but on the drive where Lightfoot fumbled Henderson was more effective. #22 is our second back (hand or wrist), and when he is in there like on that drive in the 4th, even with one hand, things work better. Against good defenses you need at least two options. Lightfoot is more effective being moved around, which can not happen without #22. NH has a very good defense, and a good one-two punch with Terry and Autrey. However, the o-line needs to help them out. I think Christian or maybe O-Senior will get us in the playoffs.

We can beat them, but we are going to have to do something about our offense. Our STARTING defense has given up one TD in three game, and it came after a turnover around the red-zone. I hate to say this, but I wonder if either team can beat the other twice. The way the playoffs are this season, I think? it is going to be a second round matchup unless Apollo has something to say about it.

You are right!!!! 1996---------34-33 win on the road, first round. We went on to lose in the regional finals 42-21 to one of the good Nelson Co. teams like you said. :thumb:

It was Central Hardin that beat us in 97, and then we beat them in 98. It was 94 when we lost by three at North Hardin, Tom Duffy's first year. We also lost on the road to them in 95.

NH has a good defense. Both D-lines ruled the day. Gillham not being able to carry the ball much made Lightfoot a easier target for them. Henderson's offense is not the same without Jesse. At the end of the game, NH called a roll out down seven inside the Cols 10 and got sacked. Other than the punt block, it was one of the more important plays. I would have called something else.

Sorry about the -7, but I do not think Henderson is great on offense although I could be wrong. But running "effectively" against that defense may depend on your point of view. Henderson is every bit 40 points better than PT. PT had almost no yards when our starters came out at the end of the third, 40-7.

Not knowing for sure how good Mayfield and Hoptown are is making it hard to place some of these teams. I am not real sure where to put my team Henderson either although it seems to me that they are somewhere in the 3-6 range. Owensboro is a team that plays some teams close, but defensive teams tend to do that, so I am not sure about them other than they are good. Graves only scored 14 on what I thought was a very bad PT defense, but Graves shutsout Mayfield, which speaks to maybe a defensive team. Apollo has a weak schedule, and I wonder if WC is playing poorly because of talent or something else. Warren East has been debated, and I still have no clue.

They will finish 3rd in the district.
