  1. :thumb: After the horned sounded I thought about that, but then was into much of a hurry to go across the street for alumni activity.
  2. All the schools are in the NKAC by choice. On a side note for a good period of time Covington HC dropped out of the NKAC and didn't return until football started up. At one time HC would have had to play in Div III and they didn't want to be forced to play that level of compeition. So it is the schools choice to play or not.
  3. I think the next couple weeks define Duran Jefferson.
  4. There is a couple of big bodies on the bench for Holmes that have hardly been used at all this season. One kid was a lineman on the football team, they might be forced to play the younger guys before they planned.
  5. Have you ever thought the teams in the NKAC from different regions think the overall competition in the 9th is better?
  6. At HC on Alumni night. HC 66 Sk 59
  7. I'm still lost to the fact how Highlands did not make the move before Scott.
  8. Holmes still wins. Losing a front court player wont' hurt against Dixie. Holmes guards are just better. Holmes 71 Dixie 57
  9. I don't think their hurting themselves. They can still schedule the power houses of their region to prepare, this just gives them the freedom to not schedule some teams they really have no need in playing, and save on travel expenses.
  10. All I know is with jefferson you get a athletic kid, with an exceptional passion to win.
  11. I'll agree here. I think Duran loves basketball first from what I can see. I just don't know how anyone questions his athletic ability or size.
  12. In the games I watch Henderson has played his best when alot of the other "Studs" weren't on the floor. In the Pendelton and the Scott County game when players were in foul trouble Henderson carried them. In the Trinity game in the 5/3 with Jefferson and Rice out. Henderson takes the game over in OT and scores all 10 points in OT to win. The jump shot needs to become more consistent, but as of right now, henderson strength and athletcism with penetration from the outside is as good as anyone I would think right now in the class of 08.
  13. Have you watched Arrez play is all I ask? He guards, the forwards on other teams alot because that is what he is called upon to do. But Arrez does not lack penetration skills. He does need to perfect a consistent 3pt shot.
  14. To clear up some things, its like alot of people have amenisa from just a few years ago. Brandet Englemon was not that much bigger if he was at all than DJ probably will be by football season next year. Brandet put on alot of muscle and weight in his red-shirt year at Michigan. People really are making me laugh acting like DJ right now isn't big enough to be recruited. Secondly prior to Brandet's rupture of some organ, I forget the exact injury his sophmore year. Brandet was abig of a guard prospect in basketball as their was in his age level in the state of KY. He had a very good reputation through out the AAU circuit.
  15. I think with recent events while at first glance look to make the Bulldogs worse. From a chemistry standpoint, in the long run could be a good thing.
  16. In all honesty this could be a good thing for the team. You might see a much more relaxed Edmonson playing. Alot of CCH supporters even said they though Rice was their 4th best player. So I don't think people should count the Bulldogs out just yet.
  17. The difference for Listerman and Co preparing for this years HC is the style of play. This HC team doesn't play a slow half court game with a lot of set plays a team can prepare for, alot of HC offense is created out of motion. Listerman had sucess in the past teaching his squad all of HC's in the 2nd meeting. This won't be the case. I don't see how CCH would be favored by almost 20, when HC had them on the brink of a loss in the same setting which will be played in districts.
  18. :thumb: But if I had to make a guess I wouldn't be surprised to see DJ go to a school that will let him play both.
  19. After the signing period in the winter, which just passed. Schools can start contacting Junior athletes much more seriously.
  20. That is wrong. I can't go into detail, because I was asked not to. But Edmonson and Higgs had meetings and I know atleast Edmonson is still with Holmes. I can't go into detail on any situation except for the fact Rice is no longer with the team.
  21. I was told as of today Greg Rice is no longer apart of the Holmes basketball team.
  22. Not being there and looking at the box score i'm going to have to agree. I wouldn't say Jefferson couldn't stop Vorihees if he had 14. Also the fact Jefferson had 13 and his teams doens't expect that many point out of him for them to win. Sounds like some bluebird fans are exagerating.
  23. Yep because 9 times out of 10 HC beats NCC this year. NCC came to play and HC took the Beechwood win for granted.
  24. I"m guessing off the top of my head. Jeff Mckinely Troy Mckinely Jeff Krohman Mick Brock
