The QB I saw last night was Wes Jackson. He is from St. Patrick. I believe he was there QB for 2 Toy Bowl titles, 1 - 5th/6th grade and 1 - 7th/8th grade. Very good athlete.

Word on the street: His injury is A LOT worse than that. More like career ending.

:banana: Okay folks, we are less than a week away from the annual Saint X versus Trinity festivities. By this time next week the tailgating preparation will be in full swing for: "THE GAME". That means everybody went to Lexington to Tailgate before the game. It would have been hard to go to Cincy, then to Lexington and be able to Tailgate the way the Cats fans like to Tailgate. Or is that "have" to Tailgate in order to get through a football game?

Also, UofL started 1 hour before the X game and UK played near the same time as well. Not sure of their kickoff time?

What is the big deal? It's True! St. X did win 5 State Championships and "Nearly" won a sixth by going to the state game and losing to Trinity. What does this have to do with Football? You guys need something more constructive to do with your time. I agree with Watusi from his other thread, this is like 2 Kindergarteners fighting over a toy in a sandbox. You all continually look for something to nit pick or needle the other about, and most of the time it's nothing. My father, God rest his soul, taught me as a kid, that "If you didn't have anything nice to say about someone; than don't say anything at all." I know this is probably a little too restrained for most of you, but how about we give it a try just for one day. Thanks for the correction Ox. Now that I think about it, I did know that. I lost a week somewhere along the way. I've just heard the August 1 date bantered about so much I guess I got confussed. Oh well ain't the first won't be the last. At my age it happens a bit to frequently for my liking.

I do NOT want to even imagine what the family of this young man is going thru right now. We all know in the back of our minds that at any given time this could be me. The only thing that keeps you going is to know that God never gives us more than we can bare. I trust that Ryan Owens is in a better place than any of us. May the Lord's perpetual light shine upon all those involved in this tragedy.
