Bowling Green wins big. Central is talented and will undoubtedly have some big plays, but Central does not give the ball to Hugheley enough (don't know why) and Central is too undisciplined. Wonder if Central will be yelling at BG players or try to intimidate them with a stare down before the game (they have tried this several times against district teams this year). Central will be outcoached and outplayed and will come unglued when BG gets up a couple of scores.

Central might be focused but they are no more disciplined than in the past. Not the style of a Serotte-coached team.

As others have stated, the state championship is played Nov. 30th. The fact that Male-Trinity is a quality matchup does not mean it should be considered the championship. I am sure there were other years in the past when the two "best" teams met earlier in the playoffs. The state should keep rotating district matchups. At least then the privates are all in the same half of the brackets in 4A some of the time. It would be even better to put X and Trinity in the same district!

How many seniors did Lafeyette lose? Do they have a lot coming back next year?

Dalton Cissell - Sophomore RB North Bullitt -- Another "homer" pick but this kid finished with 2100+ yds rushing as a sophomore. Only 1 game under 100+ yds when he was injured in 1st matchup with Louisville Central (74 yds). Over 9 yds per carry. 3,200 yds rushing in 1st 22 varsity games. Will be a Mr. Football candidate in 2 yrs. A stud in the making.

What could possibly be wrong with bringing this up? If it was clearly evident to be a non-issue, no one would worry about. Reading the other posts, it clearly is an issue among some X supporters. BTW, never liked the tape on the facemasks for Male either. Looks very tacky, especially since it was only done by Bush and his buddies, you don't see that crap in college football.

Best of luck to Valley against Central. Hopefully, the Vikings will shut up and shut down the loud-mouth Jackets. One would think a team and coaches would be a little more humble having just been beat by Doss. I guess thats just not their style. Probably would hurt their "street cred".

North really got close to its potential over the last 4 weeks of the season. They put up a good fight vs. Central. 405 yards offense against this team is pretty darn good. Now we look to the future. Very bright considering North returns 17 of 22 starting positions on what will be a senior-dominated team. With 90 kids in the program and losing only 6 to graduation, North should field its best-ever squad in '07. North averaged a school record 357 yds per game. They lose the right guard and one WR to graduation.

Had a decent night. Reynolds at QB had a big night for North. Rushed for 100+ and threw for a couple TD's. Reynolds is a Junior, so he is back as well. North returns 8 starters on defense and 9 on offense next year. Should make a lot of noise deep into playoffs in '07. Cissell will just keep getting better. Hard worker in weight room.

Central 28 - North Bullitt 19 North led 19-14 at the break, but never got it going in the 2nd half.

Intelligent observers of football realize that all good runners have a few big runs along with a lot of average runs. You, obviously, don't or can't understand that. Rakes was no different in games he rushed for a lot of yards. Our QB threw for same number of TD's as mighty Broughton plus, when Reynolds threw the ball, our guys caught it. :banana:

Cissell now has 3,092 yards in his 1st 21 high school games. If he stays healthy, he should reach Top 10 all-time in Kentucky rushing before he is done.

Yes, East got the better of North for 8 years. Last year, with one of East's best teams ever, it took 2OT and a questionable non-TD call by an official that (not surprisingly) has not been seen calling any games this year, for East to win. This year, North lost 15-13 in JV to East's undefeated JV team. North's freshman went 6-1 beating East to win freshman district. Yes, we shut up and cooled our heels after Doss loss. Post-tramatic shock I guess. With North returning all but 4 senior starters - 2008 looks very promising for District, Region, . . . '09 Cissell will still be here running around and thru East tacklers in dry or muddy conditions.

You need to get to a North Bullitt game next year and see North's RB Dalton Cissell. He will be a Junior next year on a Senior-dominated team. He just finished the regular season with 2,046 yards and a 9.5 yds per carry average. Like to hear how he compares to other backs you have seen. North opens in a bowl game at Central Hardin. They play at Shelby County the 3rd week I think.

Nobody has run on us the last two years except Bowling Green last year. To beat us you have to throw. Reynolds and Cissell will not beat us on the ground. -- MH2365 October 26, 2006 Try Cissell for 166 yards and Reynolds for 100+ in horrible playing conditions.

Cissell closed out the regular season rushing 24 times for 166 yds and 1 TD in North's 30-12 defeat of Bullitt East. Cissell now has 2,046 yards rushing thru 10 games.

Not excited about 7-3 when we know we could have easily been 9-1. If North played Valley and Doss ten times each, North would win 8 or 9 of them each. Credit those teams for playing good games when North did not play like they did in their 7 victories. We are excited that North's convincing defeat of East has the Chargers turning in their equipment Monday. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid they serve over in the Mount and keep telling yourself everything will be alright next year. Hopefully, you all got mighty Nelson County off your schedule so you can get off to a better start next year.:laugh:

As I stated 3 days ago, Reynolds would be and was the difference. MH, you are the one that called North Bullitt a one-man show. He and Cissell are the 2 best offensive players in the county and will return next year when North will have 17 of 22 starting positions the same. Couple that with North's freshman team that won district and it looks like things might be turning North. East had a GREAT run vs. North, but like East's string of playoff appearances, its over.

Tried to tell you that North wasn't a one-man show as you claimed and that Reynolds would be the difference. If you weren't impressed with Cissell then you were in the minority. Made big runs when needed in horrible conditions. Over 2,000 yards for the year! I'll take that any day. East put up a good fight but there was little doubt that North was better at most positions.
