On occasion, games will get out of hand. A large scoring margin, is usually indicative of one team being good and the other not. The real question should be, why are teams getting beat this bad, on a consistent basis. If you can't be competitive at all but continually get throttled, playing the game for the sake of playing, doesn't help any student-athletes involved. The decision to make a Varsity schedule and playing District teams, will result in mis-matches. I'm not for a running clock in Basketball but more of asking why, a team would need a running clock in a majority of games they play.

Not that I'm aware, but never heard of this situation.

Keep in mind if you move Bleachers, from one location to another, than they must comply with current Building Code regulations and requirements. Simple way, is to have the Title IX group get involved, to see what improvements or additions are needed, to begin and complete a Softball facility.

BG, well said. Getting scouted and drafted, is about ability. If you are JUCO, DIII, DII, D1, NAIA the key is your talent. College Coaches will communicate with professional scouts, if a player has potential. These same College Coaches, communicate with High School Coaches, to evaluate if a player can play in College. Getting exposure from High School to College, is not easy, unless close proximity to several colleges.

Being a 4year school, does not equate to Division. Junior Colleges, are accredited differently, than D1 programs. ' Also, scholarships are renewable on a yearly basis. I would recommend, he consult with his adviser, on any educational concerns.

If his intent is the Draft, then the selection of the JUCO program, is very important. Often many D1 programs in the South, will sign JUCO transfers for their last two years and some, in the Northeast. Having a JUCO Staff, with connections/ties to MLB, is a tremendous boost in promoting for the Draft. You can also get the same attention, in D1. The best advice I can offer, in evaluating the JUCO and D1 programs, which are interested and do some research, on which has placed more in the Draft.

They are from Greenville, SC. Good size, with several 6'-4" or larger. Pure shooter in Robbie Dreher and is near 28ppg. They have lost 1 game.

You're more than welcome and your sarcasm, is amusing. Parental support can be achieved, without attending a Girls Basketball practice, by parents. Practice time is and the ability to focus, is the main goal for Staff with Players. As I stated before, the Players need to focus on the instruction being provided by the Staff and not anything else.

The question was asked, in context of Girls Basketball and not Football. The relative closeness, to the playing court is considerably different than the Football bleachers. You are right, some watch to learn and observe but others, want to make sure their child is a focus. Like teams of varying abilities, there are parents of varying interests. That is reality.

The only instance, I could see this applying would be transportation to and from, during the "Dead Period".

Usually the ultimate goal of any program and Coach, is too compete for a win. Whom plays, is always subjective to others. When you say better caliber in the under class, then I will assume these players have more experience, size, quickness, ability and instincts for the game, than the upper classmen correct?

Practices are for the Coaches to instruct and the Players to learn. Not for the Parents, to observe and critique the efforts of the staff or whom should be playing. Having a player, look into the stands for the parent, after getting scolded or instruction, serves no purpose.
