On the radio Dickie mentioned disciplinary reasons. Good win for the Tomcats! Defense played well, but they have got to stop with all the penalties. Seniors...let's win next week so we can play at Putnam again this year! Remember, no one is unbeatable!!:banana:

I like that poll. Ashland has the potential to get up too the top. I know Wilcox has gotten alot stronger and he has been working very hard in the off season. I like the Tomcats chances this year.

I feel that Ashland had a pretty good wakeup call with their performance against Boyd last friday. They will prepare this week for a very good Mason Co. team and I feel that they will win this one in a close game. Plus, being at home doesnt hurt thier chances ethier. Ashland 31 Mason 20

Ashland, along with about every other team in the state and alot in the nation would be embarrased by Huntington High.

Also, Ashland needs to stop making the stupid penalties that they made. Over 5 false starts and a few late hits and fask masks'. That wont get it done against teams in the playoffs

This wasn't the best game I've seen the Tomcats play for sure, but a win is a win. Too many penalties, several questionable on both sides. I was happy for the Tomcat seniors because they're a great bunch of kids...we're sure going to miss them next year. But they're really going to have to step up their game and play like we've seen them play earlier in the season. Going to have to get the offense going and the defensive line needs to quit letting the backs through. Seniors, it's time to rally your troops so we can keep playing. I'm not ready to quit watching you play! Good game from BC.

I don't think Ashland is too scared. The football team and the fans had no input on this decision. It was made by the AD and I would assume the Boyd County coaches agreed or would it not be a forfeit on Ashland?

Region4 district 8 has a big following too id assume most of those are from 3a with Ashland, Johnson Central, Boyd County, Greenup County, Lawrence County,and MasonCounty have a lot of fans on here.

It's supposed to downpour this evening and there isn't much rain predicted for tomorrow? I dont see what the big deal here is?? BTW the field is already very muddy due to the playing of the kiwanis bowl in a monsoon.

5000 yards is impressive, but i could name about 3 or 4 backs just in the area that if givin the same chance, would probably have more yards.

As does Greenup county.
