Prewitt gets a rebound, gets it out to Webb for another lay-up. 48-38 Montgomery County. 56 left in the 3rd.
  2. HC gets another steal. Blankenship misses a 3....that's her first missed field goal of the night. 2:58 left in the 3rd quarter...Time out.
  3. Lee picks up her 3rd personal foul, as she gets a charge called on her. Henry Clay turns the ball over, Montgomery County ball. 11 turnovers so far for HC. Lee misses a lay-up, HC with the rebound. Price hits a three for HC, 41-34...3:28 left in the 3rd quarter.

  5. Rucker gets her 3rd foul on a reach-in on Jelik. Now, Jelick is fouled by Nichols. She'll go to the line for 2 shots. Her first one is good. So is the second. 5:32 left in the 3rd quarter, 39-31. Henry Clay misses a 3-pointer, it went over the backboard, Montgomery County ball.
  6. Start of the second half. Blankenship hits a shot. 33-26 Montgomery County. Mckenzie Lee answers...35-26. Blankenship answers back, 35-28....M. Prewitt hits a lay-up, 37-28. Price is fouled by Maggie Prewitt, her first. Price will go to the line. Rucker gets the rebound...37-31 Montgomery County.
  7. Maggie Prewitt has 9 at the half, and her sister has 7.
  8. Montgomery is up 33-24 right now, I think it's halftime.
  9. Montgomery is up 30-22 right now. I'm not sure how far into the game it is, but it's the first half still, I do believe.
  10. I was right on the money. Predicted E-Town by 20.
  11. Mason will have to try and replace the 3 seniors next year, with 3 players who didn't receive a whole lot of playing time. Definitely a rebuilding year for the Lady Royals.
  12. They've been 5 out of the last 7 and 2 out of the last 3 years.
  13. I think that Chambers would cause the most hurt if she wasn't there, but Cline and Litzinger are definitely a part of their success as well. You could take Litzinger out for a little bit and still remain somewhat of the same team, but without Chambers and Cline, it's a whole different story.
  14. Christy Orem. Doesn't she coach at Fleming?
  15. Right, I know what you mean. Maggie has had the more successful team, winning the region for 4 years in a row, but Chambers does so much for her team, and without her, they would definitely not be the same. Great cases can be made for both players.
  16. Well...Chambers has already been given the award.
  17. The cheering section was taunting them, like cheering sections do, and the game was close at one point. Then Mason started pulling away, and the cheering section still kept saying things about them, so they felt the need to let them know who was ahead, I guess.
  18. I'd say that Jason Butler could be a potential head coach candidate, and maybe even Kent Moore.
  19. I remember in the state tournament one year (boys) I believe Hopkinsville was playing someone, and a kid goes up for a lay-up to win the game as time expired. The refs ruled it as good, and they won that game by 2 points. On the front page of the paper the next day, the picture showed the ball still clearly in the boys hand as the scoreboard lit up and the clock read 0.0. They ended up losing in the next round anyway, but it just makes you wonder what could or would have happened if things would have went the other way.
  20. They've definitely proven themselves this year against some of the better teams in the state.
  21. Can you just imagine the type of atmosphere Rupp would be if it were to be a Lexington Catholic/Mason County final!
  22. Yeah, at that point in the game, it didn't really seem like he was being apologetic for the foul. Things were getting kinda intense there late in the game...a lot of offensive fouls and aggressiveness on both sides.
  23. I don't care how much we win by...just as long as we win! :thumb: And I found this on Danny Weddle's website....the Royals have won 2 out of the last 3 regional titles, and 5 out of the last 7. They've definitely been there for the past few years :thumb:.
  24. Well, it didn't seem like Downing took it really well, or that he liked the gesture.
  25. Didn't say they were there last year, I said they were there the year before last. You said they hadn't been there in the past few years. I take that as being more than 2 years ago. They have won 5 regional titles in the last 7 years, and 2 in the last 3 years. They've definitely been there for the past few years. These kids know what it's like to play in Rupp against big crowds under pressure situations. They have had that experience before. And I don't think that they'll overlook anyone at this stage in the game. When it's down to one and done in the tournament, it's best not to look anyone over, even if you beat them by 20+ earlier.
