Actually--historically it is a lot closer than you may think. CCH and Beechwood have played @ 24 times in the last 26 years and it's prolly @ 14-10 Beechwood. Beechwood and Dixie also played back in the day for a couple years. I think @1979,80 and 81. This is off the top of my head so these numbers are approximate.

Lucas was the first to express intrest in the Beechwood job from what I understand. In fact, I think he called the Sat. after Yeagle announced he was going to move on. I would also add that Roy was part of Ys staff when it was at its best and they were ALL loyal to Yeagle. Roy Lucas would get my stamp of approval........... :thumb:

Blind Draw I believe. Kind of defeats the purpose for seeding. 3 ways ties are a distinct possibility especially for 5 team districts.

My point is it would be a professional courtesy to wait until a coach was hired to see what his feelings are.Not who has been responsible for the scheduling in the past. Educators to not think like the rest of the world....or most educators anyway. sheltered in there own world.

Without getting "full of myself",or sounding that way. If Beechwood can put together a few games similar to last nights CCH game they may start to attract fringe players from outside the district to enroll there...similar to Highlands over the years and can become a player in the 9th, year in and year out. I am convinced of that.........with all the respect in the world. Ludlow is not a good comparision. You can compare size and thats it. Highlands is a much better comparison.

Thanks Pendleton always gets a tough draw in this tourney but such is life. Last year they beat a good Harrison team and then got beat by a even better Montgomery team in the semis. Had they won that gamne it would have had to beat Mason on their home floor, tough order in 72 hours. No time to prepare for the opponent. Nonetheless they got it done in the regional.

It will be interesting to see if Pendleton can continue it's 18 game winning streak against 10th Region opponents with having to beat Campbell, Harrison or Brossart, and probably Mason in 72 hours.

Pendleton has also won 18 straight against 10th region opponents dating back to last years MCIT loss to Montgomery Co. that streak could be in serious trouble with their side of the draw stacked in this weeks MCIT.

Early indications are they will hire the best candidate regardless of his ties. The hire will be in the best intrest of the entire community and not just to satisfy a few big donors etc. I wonder if the committee will really see all the applications? Would a threatening candidates app. possibly get lost? Do all applicants receive a confirmation the school has received their application? LOOK OUT I SAW A BLACK HELICOPTER>>>>!!!!! :scared:

I think the principal should step down from this process and appoint another FOOTBALL person to the committee given all the things that have come out recently. He should get the committees final recomendation but not be involved in the search itself. I hope the committee members realize the responsibility they have accepted. What role does the AD play in this process? Seems crazy not to have him on the search committee.

Burnett is not the right choice for Beechwood right now. I can't see anyone that sits on that commitee just handing him the job becouse "he's been there or whatever". There will be many qualified applicants for this position and I only hope the commitee just does'nt make the easy hire...(Rash or Burnett) I hope they truly OPEN up the search and consider all apps.

No...get rid of the principal then the AD, That would make two very attractive positions for a coach....They need to clean house !!!! Now is the time....and I don't just mean the football job......clean out the whole program!!!!....except baseball...

Thank goodness he turned over the baseball job......................Beechwood can do better than anyone on the current staff. Time to clean house!!!! Bring Bernie Barre back....If I'm not mistaken Coach Barre is a principal too !!

For everyone assuming things......Mike Yeagle is a defensive coach...He would make a nice offesive guy but his coaching and playing playing experience is Defensive.
