Discussion of the 10th Region Preview
We may start at the old campus but about mid-January could be at the "NEW GYM". It would be kinda like history to see who might be the last team to play at the old gym, possibilties as I look at the schedule could be:St. Pat(Jan 4) or Riverside Christian(Jan 5). I would like to end it with a game against one of our 3 rivals: Bracken County, Augusta, or Pendleton. Yep the old 38th District.

Deming 2012/2013
Mostley guards playing, the only one with any height is Edwards. He'll mostly play inside, but can step outside and shoot the trey. Dawson Cooper has improved over the summer.

Deming 2012-2013
Along with L. Mitchell returning from last years squad is K. Smithers who came on at the end and in the tournament at the right time. What a breakout game she had in the tournamnet, also returning Samantha Woerner. The rest is gonna be young. Gone are Lacy's sister Jessica and Kelsey Carmack. bulk of their scoring gone there. Madison Fryman just a 8th grader could see some playing time, as well as another 8th grader Aletha Thomas, they both saw time on the floor last season.

39th District
Augusta came close last season knocking off MC, they should use that as a motivater. Good things to come I think.

38th District
Still Deming "This" season, was told maybe will move to the new school after Christmas but now officals say it'll be spring time before they go there. The building is looking good still have ground work, roofing and windows and doors(some), driveways and parking lot to do so it may well be springtime, I know a lot of people are wearing Robertson County shirts and hoodies but we are still Deming.

38th District
In the past it's been Pendleton and Harrison County going 1&2, sometimes interchangeable, then it's been Deming and Nicholas County. Don't know who PC and HC lost but it's gonna take a lot of hard work for Deming to find a starting 5 that will bring it every game. Returning are Dawson Cooper who struggled last year and has been working on his game over the summer, he was on a 3-on-3 team in Maysville and his team actually won that tournament. Darrin Edwards looks to be the center, he can also stroke the 3 from outside. Tyler Burns I believe will be the PG, Justin Polosky maybe at the SG, after that it's open. Losses: Calvin Schalch, Jonathen Polosky,Jacob Curtis all gone to graduation, and Dalton Schalch won't be returning he will be missed.Decided to concentrate on golf. Any Thoughts on this or the other teams?

Seeding vs Blind draw
Ok here in the 38th you have Harrison County, Pendleton County, Deming,Nicholas County. The top 2 have been Harrison or Pendleton but last season The Lady Devils ended up cutting down the nets, so seeding didn't matter then. Deming was picked to be in the latter everytime to me it seems everyone tought seeding discussion would be brought up. LAst year seeding didn't matter, Lady Devils surprised everyone cause alot of people thought Nicholas County would knock them out, but it didn't happen, then the Championship game came, Harrison County was perceived being the winner, LAdy Devils won the Tournament. Heres a scenerio: Team A won every game with in their district maybe even twice, so that would mean by their record only that Team A is the #1 school to beat. Team B Team C and D jsut follow along as the season goes by and the end a team who didn't have as good as a record as Team A beats them in the District Tournament so all the prectioons by seeding don't really matter,as Deming proved last season it don't matter what you did during the seaon it's what happens at tournment time that counts, You can go all season and not lose a game but when you go up against a team in a game that is percieved to be a cake walk and you lose then that the seeding thing is of NO importance.

Seeding vs Blind draw
All I am saying is this a never ending thing on here. Every people wonder why the teams here don't seed, the coaches here didn't vote for it, rather to just have a blind drawing, it could end up Deming vs Harrison, Pendleton vs Nicholas County, or it could be the same ol' turnout. There are some who think it hurts the district by not seeding thinking the 2 best schools should play to 2 "Not good Schools" and as it goes when the 2 better Schools play in the first round that was the championship game, they insuiate like playing a smaller school like Deming/Nicholas County is just cake. I for one am thinking one day they're going to get a shock handed to them, but then likely it'll come out as "you just got lucky" I really don't care for that characterization, but I see it almost every season.

Seeding vs Blind draw
Someone should tell the coaches to vote for seeding, ultimatley at least in this district the coaches vote whether or not to seed at least in the 38th anyway.
