39th District

Featured Replies

Since 2001 this district has been Mason Co's alone. St. Patrick was the last district winner other than the Royals all the way back in 2000. However, that nearly changed last year as Augusta was one roll on the rim from shocking the region. Mason County held on and continued regional success making it to the final. That team lost 5 seniors, Augusta lost 9, but return talented PG Brent Bach and welcome young talent. Bracken is also young and welcome an incoming transfer from Ohio. The district has the chance to be more competitive this season than it has in over a decade. It could finally be the year Augusta or Bracken break through as District Champs.

Still Mason's district to lose.

It always will be. Keep an eye on Augusta this year though.

No doubt on Augusta. My reluctance with the Panthers is that, while returning Bach, they also lost quite a bit. He will most certainly be the catalyst of the team, but I don't know if they have enough to overcome Mason County's firm grasp on the district. Coach Hinson is a friend & a top-notch coach. I wish him & his team the best! :thumb:

I'm not sure what St. Pat has returning, so I can't speak much to them. Bracken County has some nice pieces coming back, but the fear I have with my beloved Polar Bears is where the points are going to come from. And I'm not sure what they'll have in terms of depth either. Coach Persinger is one of my lifelong, best friends & I wish the team the best also! :thumb:

So I think it's Mason County at #1 until someone can knock them off. Augusta is behind them, then Bracken & St. Pat. I do agree, though, that the gap between Mason County & the rest of the district is not nearly as wide as it has been of late.

Augusta came close last season knocking off MC, they should use that as a motivater. Good things to come I think.

Heard this transfer moved back to Ohio???

^ The transfer is no longer at Bracken County. Not sure where was from, nor where he went to.
