The trick play would have worked on Alabama and they have a pretty good defense and defensive coordinator. Well executed by the 'Dores! The UK football season is in a downward spiral. This was an important year to gain a little forward momentum. Not good.

I remember growing up and having real trees, but that changed because my father didn't like the cleanup of the shedding of the needles. We had a fake tree with the red, green, yellow, and blue rotating lights. Since then, I have always had a real Frazier Fir tree. They are beautiful and smell so good. Now, with wife #2, she is big on fake trees and lots of them throughout the house. I get to buy my Frazier fir, but she puts no less than three additional fake trees around the house. Christmas overkill.

There is a lot of talent on the Lafayette team, but they are one of the most undisciplined teams I have seen. I like Scott County in a high scoring affair.

Towles and Barker have at least one thing in common. They both totally lock in on receivers. Neither of them look off throws.

How does Barker playing well make Shannon Dawson look like an idiot? Patrick Towles was a starter look before Shannon Dawson came to Lexington. I have no doubt Patrick Towles outplayed Drew Barker in spring and summer camp. That's why he is playing. Should Barker get a look now? Probably, because again, Patrick is struggling in the second half of the season, just like last year.

It is amazing to me after watching many of these replays how many of them take five minutes to review and the results are WRONG! Amazing!

I only write a handful each month. I believe I will always have the need to write a few checks. The real problem is I just had to order new checks and were given about 50 checks at a cost of over $ 30.00. Now that is some larceny! Probably cost some company about a nickel each to make.

I will preface this by saying I have been a close follower of football for over 50 years. No one loves the game more than me. I have gotten to the point where I can't even sit through a whole game. Between the injuries, long television timeouts, and replay reviews, the damn thing takes in the neighborhood of four hours to play. Even with my love of the sport, I must not have that long an attention span. If I don't, who does? It's a problem and there needs to be some solutions because it takes way too long to play a college game.

If I was a coach at an out of state college, I would never offer a kid from Kentucky. It seems as though about 90% of them last about one, no more than two years, and then they come back home. Happy Osborne has been the best at getting these kids who come back to the state to play for him.

I have seen Josiah Robbins play just one game this season….versus Lexington Catholic. Based on that performance, I would not consider him to be the best player in Central Kentucky. I think the best player in Central Kentucky is Devonte Robinson at Henry Clay. I think he will be a great player at UK.
