Agreed. The one thing Jake will have to work on is being able to adjust to referees in-game. He's a great defender. However, at times he uses his hands, and depending on the night, he could get into foul trouble. Brossart won't be able to afford him on the bench next year. Otherwise, he's shown that he's more than capable of running the point. Brossart's top 5 may be the best in the Region. Their depth is what will determine how far they go.

Rieger doesn't get as much credit as he deserves. Mainly because he does most of his work on defense... he could develop into a shut-down defender this year. If his confidence grows in the offseason, his name will be up there with Burns and Trentman. Doubt Verst comes back, but if he does, he would immediately become an offensive threat. He could really help them next year.

If I'm Trentman, I'm in the weight room non-stop. Kid is already a great player, if he puts on 10-15 pounds of muscle, he would be virtually unstoppable.

Two of Scott, Brossart, and CCHS are consistently in the top five in the region. I don't really understand why it's turned into a disagreement. It would be asinine to say that they've been at the level of GRC and Mason, but they've been right behind those two.

Next year will be a lot more open than this year. Campbell will be solid. Brossart's going to be very good. Scott loses a lot, but it seems like Scott always loses a lot and is back. Montgomery will be dangerous again. Odds are Mason and GRC will be back to their norm and be a threat to win the tenth. Throw in a small school like Augusta that's got talent and next year will be interesting.

This year. The last time any of them were in the regional finals. I know it's hard to reach back to the yesteryear of two weeks ago. And what case? I don't even know what you're talking about? Scott, Brossart, and Campbell County are consistently towards the top of the region. They're never the best, but that's what happens when you run up against the teams that GRC and Mason have had (and Montgomery this year).

What universe are you living in? BB, Scott, and CCHS are consistently at the top of the region, but they have never been called the favorites. Pretty sure it's just been MoCo, GRC, and Mason (one year with PC) labeled as favorites for like the last fifteen years. Nice attempt at a slight on those three school though.

As much as it pains me to say it, you're right. Montgomery is just a very, very talented team. Brossart's coaching staff had a great game plan. Unfortunately, Jones and Wallace were just too quick.
