The Indians tamed the Mustangs this night. The out come pretty much as expected by folks who had seen both teams play a few times.

Well now that I've seen Montgomery, they're decent.

 

Their two guards, just super quick. Great players. I wasnt impressed with Prewitt... And then the second half happened.

 

Brossart didn't play great at all, but Montgomery is a very great team. They'll do the 10th Region proud, if they win tomorrow.

 

Very, very proud of Ben Uebel and Justin Saunders. Both had great careers In different ways. Justin's one of the best scorers of all time at Brossart, and Ben persevered through so much. Never got tons of

Accolades this year, but he was such an important player. So, so proud of him.

 

Congrats to the Indians. Excellent team. Congrats to the Mustangs on a great year.

I don't see Scott or Harrison County being able to handle the MoCo Indians. Too much talent.

As I said in prediction thread, I love Brossart, Code, and their players....but they just weren't going to be good enough. No shot at them, they play their guts out, Montgomery Co is just that good. They are a legit Final 4 contender (and beyond).

I was also impressed with Montgomery County. Guards did a great job of breaking down Brossarts defense and getting into the lane and causing bigs to help and getting open shots. Brossart was able to get the ball down low at will but struggled to convert. A team with a strong center will give Montgomery problems. However they have a lot of solid players in their top 5 that can hurt you. Prewitt is an interesting player. Looking at him in a group of 6'4" guys he is probably last one I pick. Just didn't look like he is gonna be a "great player". But he gave a very nice effort. Didn't force shots, takes what you give him. His outside shot while not looking great leaving his hand was solid. Best part about him I felt was he acted like he has been there before. He was best player on floor but never showed the "me" emotion. No pointing to the crowd or showing anyone up. He went about his business in a very professional manner. Refreshing to see from a top player.

No he had 6 in first half 2 three point goals.

No. Scoreless for the 1st quarter. He hit a pair of 3s in the second quarter.

I was late because of the 5pm tip, but glad I went. Montgomery didnt play their best game but made plays when they had to. Glad to see Omar warm up as the game went along.

His dunk was pretty nice.

The dunk Jones had before the subs went in was quite impressive.

 

Always fun to watch the 10th region tournament.

Prewitt was scoreless 1st quarter. But the impressive part was the shots weren't there and he didn't force anything early. Let the game come to him and it started to in a big way. He hit the 2 threes in 2nd. And then put on a show in the 3rd when Montg. Co pulled away.

It happened just like I thought. The 2 guards get the MVP of This game. Wallace and T jones put the pressure on Brossart like they have never seen before. Prewitt has a just OK game. I was impressed with Brossarts center 44? He played great. But the rest of them were guarded hard. Didn't know what to do or how to respond.
