  1. I believe he scored 11 touchdowns and kicked 6 extra points for a total of 72 points.
  2. I thought Mav Barnhill graduated. Is this his brother Colt?
  3. Fleming was not part of the EKC for the 2006-2007 season; however, they will be part of the EKC for the 2007-2008 season.
  4. You are correct. Also, Boyd County, Greenup County and Rose Hill are not in the EKC. I believe that Fleming has now joined the conference. I also believe that Fairview has decided to sit out one year.
  5. Rather than detract from the subject of this thread, perhaps you could PM me and I'll provide some names from those 50's teams.
  6. As I understand the book is out of circulation. Greene played on the 55 (as an 8th grader), 56 and 59 teams that made it to the state tournament. The 59 team lost by two points in the semi-finals to eventual chamption North Marshall. Many thought the 59 team was best in the state, but they lost both starting guards due to injury during the second and third quarters vs North Marshall.
  7. Clearly, this is a significant accomplishment; however, she is not yet the all time leading scorer (boys) in the region. Bert Greene at Olive Hill scored 3,105 points in 4 years of high school plus 65 as en eighth grader for a total of 3,172. No 3 point line from 1955-1959 either. Emily has had a super career and best wishes to her!
  8. She's definitely out tomorrow vs Ashland. Very true about the athletic and hardnosed player comment.
  9. Erika Webb had a temendous second half with 19 points. West did not have Charla Burchett available due to an ankle sprain. The big issue for West was 25 turnovers. LCA used a 2-2-1 deny full court press and dropped back into a 3-2 zone. LCA has some extremely talented and athletic girls with unlimited shooting range. West played hard and did force around 15 LCA turnovers.:thumb:
  10. West did a good job at the FT line by hitting something like 18 of 19 free throws and Morgan missed something like 15 of 27 free throws. Great, hard fought game by both teams.
  11. Any results on today's "Derby Classic" action?
  12. Ok, my bad, and thanks for the clarification. I thought several were playing football. As for full stride, seems like I remember Russell getting off to a slow start last year until they got the football players back and then got a head of steam in January and didn't look back.
  13. Doesn't Russell have several who are still playing football? If so, Russell may not hit full stride before end of January and Elliott will probably handle them in the EKC.
  14. Yes, Blanchester will play both East and West. Not sure how the scrimmages will be counted. East and West will play the following in the Heart of the Parks scrimmage on Nov 25th: East vs Deming (Boys) East vs Montgomery (Girls) West vs Fleming (Boys) West vs Harrison (Girls)
  15. Here are teams and times for the Jack Fultz Classic: 11:00 Lewis vs Bath (Girls) 12:45 West Carter vs Pike County Central (Girls) 2:30 East Carter vs Blanchester (Boys) 4:15 Elliott vs Georgetown (Boys) 6:00 East vs Magoffin (Girls) 7:45 West Carter vs Blanchester (Boys)
  16. Casey is at Morehead as a "preferred walk-on!"
  17. Bath Wildcats beat Elliott, not West.
