After much deliberation I have decided to miss my first 10th region final in several years due to the fact that the Mason Co. Fieldhouse concession stand is not up to par. :idunno: I guess I will stay up and drink my coke with peanuts and eat a mustard sandwich, tune in to Danny Weddle and enjoy the game from the comfort of my own home! Plus Pressrow let me borrow some popcorn...from all of his posts I have learned that he is a fine connoisseur of good popcorn:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn: :thumb:

This thread was started so these young girls could get the credit they deserve for all the hard-work they have put into practice this year. It was not started so two people who wish they were each other could argue over year around stuff between softball and basketball.

The Bracken Co. Lady Bears overcome a slow start on Senior night to pull away in the 2nd half against a feisty Lloyd Memorial team. The Bracken Co. Lady Bears will play the Augusta Lady Panthers on Monday at 6:30 at Bracken Co. in the first round of the district tournament.

The Bracken Co. Lady Bears defeated Nicholas Co. and Paris yesterday to win the Freshman Region. This is the 2nd time in 4 years that Bracken Co. has won the Freshman region. Great Job Ladies!:clap::clap::clap:

Quality win in whats normally a hostile environment... Congrats to Coach Persinger and his boys!

Homecoming will take place on February 18th, but the game with Lexington Sayre is still on.

Deming's Felicia Fryman and her family need our prayers. Her mother, Tammy, passed away after a battle with cancer. I am sure they would appreciate our prayers. Prayers go out to the Fryman family!

Bracken Co. defeats Williamsburg in the first round of the Cumberland Falls Invitational Tournament in Corbin, Ky. Hannah Haight led the Lady Bears with 22 pts, Brittany Burden had 16 and Sara Sticklen contributed 13. The Lady Bears face the host school Corbin Lady Hounds tonight at 9:15.

It has been pushed back until Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.

They are 3-0 with wins over Silver Grove, St. Pat, and Augusta. This is really no surprise as Bracken is deeper and more talented overall than the young, inexperienced Panthers

Sophomore Sara Sticklen lead the Lady Bears with 14 points 10 rebounds as they improve to 2-1 on the young season with a 49-44 victory over a big, strong, physical Pendleton Co. Team.
