Bracken County 74 Williamstown 58

Recommended Posts

Final. Bracken Co. got off to terrible start and was down by 21 in the first half before their shots started to fall. Down by 6 at half and then all Bracken Co. in the second half.

Any stats on this? BC seems to dig a hole early in many games of late, some they get out of, some too deep. Kind of question playing 3 games in a row before district tournament. Augusta will be fresh and not the same team they played earlier I feel

Augusta is playing two in a row, played Brossart last night and traveling to Burgin today.

Today's afternoon game will be 3 in a row for Bracken County, one they had to go into overtime on Senior Night, one they were 21 points down and this afternoon they travel to an arch rival, Augusta on Monday will be 4 out of 5. If they are able to defeat Augusta, St. Pat/Mason County will be 5 out of 7 and so on and so forth. May be a good thing, we'll see. If they aren't able to get by Augusta at home on Monday night, bad. If they win the district, good. Simple really.

A lot of teams in northern/central/eastern part of the state are playing a schedule similar to what your Bears are playing. Mr. Gator accurately pointed out that Monday night's game will be Augusta's 3rd in 4 days. Hasn't been a lot of gym time, so coaches have to get what they can get. Better to wear out than rust out.

On the flip side of what you said, Mason County has missed more days than Augusta or Bracken County and has played 4 games total since January 26. They don't seem to be wearing or rusting out, oh well.

Good for them. I'm simply providing you with the rationale most coaches are using, and that it makes perfectly good sense for them to try and get as much game time in as possible. The teams Mason County has played since January 26 are not quite their caliber, therefore it would be a bit difficult to determine whether they're wearing or rusting out.
