I want to send out a shout to Russ Middleton. I was never more impressed with anyone at the Sweet 16 Tournament then I was with Russ. He played like a MAN this week. I had always heard that Russ at times disappeared in big games, but not this time. He played in the biggest games on the biggest stage and every game he impressed me! I want to say CONGRATS to Russ Middleton for stepping up and playing like a MAN when his team needed him most. Congrats to Russ and his team on a State Championship!

No need to "Taint" Mason County's title for the best team won the game. I am not saying the game deserves an asterisk beside it. I am clearly saying rules are rules and we don't fudge them for anyone. If you do, why have them?

How can you say this? King outscored Setty for the tournament. King in my opinion was their most consistent player all week.

KHSAA did not make the right call! They make rules to be followed. He did not follow the rules, therefore, you have to face the consequences... Rules says leaving the bench is automatic ejection and if you are ejected you sit out the next game. He left the bench so he should have been ejected and not been allowed to play in the finals. We need to be held accountable for our actions... Constantly letting people off for doing wrong is just not right.

Setty wasn't much of a factor versus Holmes, but his presence on the floor is better than having someone else out there. It could have also played with Mason County mentally. If the rules states leaving the bench results in an ejection then he should have been ejected. Refs don't change the rules just because its the state semifinals. Mason was the better team and the the better team won, but could have been different if Setty wouldn't have played.
