The Lady Bears fought through a 5-19 FT performance to win on the road against Pendleton County. Good thing the defense showed up tonight. Figgins 13 Burden 4 Meyer 3 Ware 1 C Ahrens 4 Kauinui 11 Haight 8 (16 rebounds)

Newport is a solid team and this is a game Augusta should have won. A lot of FT and layup opportunities that were blown. Nice effort and yes and very good game by Staggs and Mofford. This Friday will be a fun one as Bracken Co. continues to improve!

The score is right! All-State candidate Bev Harris of Burgin High School scored 48 points I believe. She is definately an All-State player who gets very little exposure because of playing at a class a school. Coaches take notice... this girl can play!

Brian has had a pretty good career at Union. I think he is starting at PG for them this season and to be honest with you I think I saw where he led them in scoring a game...

This should be a very good game. Brossart is coming off some momentum from beating a good LCA team in the Class A tournament. Harrison Co. has been playing better as of late. I look for this one to be a Barn Burner!

The game that was cancelled on Jan 24th at Pendleton has been rescheduled for February 6th.

I am also talking about the year in the district tournament at Fleming Co when a Brian Kirk led Augusta team lost to Deming in the districts. Remember that? Sadly, but I do!

Louisville Collegiate sure has improved.. I played them when I was in high school and they were down!

Jason Butler from Mason County should be nominated as a contributor for all of his years of broadcasting 10th Region girls basketball.. A lot of times people like this go unnoticed. Mason Co. needs to nominate him as a contributor..
