  1. I am quick to admit that Josh White was definately better than Mason Co.'s PG. I dont know if that kid to start for any other team. He must be related to Miller... Gotta keep the family happy....
  2. Coach Kelsch and his Augusta Panthers need to be commended for their hard work and dedication. They were only down one point at halftime to a much more superior team in the Royals. They gave all of us Augusta fans a reason to be proud in the first half. The Royals were shocked the first half and the Panthers never quit.. The Royals talent took over in the 2nd half, but the PANTHERS still didnt quit. CONGRATS COACH KELSCH AND THE PANTHERS!!! You have given us all a reason to be proud!
  3. Hilltopper is 100% RIGHT! PC has a better supporting cast for their star then most athletes in the 10th, however, I believe Darius Miller is the best athlete in the 10th region and best overall player!
  4. what is the Montgomery Station on the FM Dial? I know Maysville is 95.9?
  5. Harrison beats Pendleton in a huge upset and Falmouth and Butler flood from all the tears...
  6. I wish both schools the best of luck. Coach Jason Hinson has done nothing short of miraculous this year and I expect the Saints to get better next year as Chris Owens has another year of experience under his belt. Also look for Nick Anderson to shine as he stepped up this year and has played well. Coach Robin Kelsch seems to have his Panthers peaking at the right time. They have played well the past couple of weeks. Either team that wins will be well deserving! Good Luck to Both!
  7. If I am not mistaken, they had a father that scored 1900 high school points in 3 years at Augusta. A lot of points from one family...
  8. The Pelle boys that play for Silver Grove are not brothers now. They are cousins... However, the McCarter Brothers probably scored a lot for Silver Grove. Im sure Mason Co. has some Myricks that would make the list.
  9. Who wins tonight at Bracken Co.? St. Pat coming off their victory of Bracken in the Class A. Does Bracken get revenge tonight? I wont be able to make it to the game tonight because I will be traveling to Lexington to watch the UK/Tennessee game. So, if someone could give me updates I would appreciate it..
  10. I cant believe people are actually putting that the Augusta gym is one of the worst places to play. The balcony up top and the bleachers down low has put a lot of history in that tiny gym. Someone said about it being small, well I know this is a KY site, but has anyone played in North Adams gym. The 3 point line runs into the out of bounds line. I had a teammate shoot a shot from the corner and he was out of bounds.. I also cant believe that no one has mentioned the old Fleming Co. middle school gym. Yeah thats right. THE SWIMMING POOL. You had to climb a ladder to get to your bench and climb back down to check in... IMAGINE THAT?
  11. Anyone have any old stats from the Potter House Leagues??? This is the league that plays all of its games at the old Western Gym in the Lenoxberg/Berlin area. Curious------- Are they still taking teams for their leagues?
  12. Another great player from Augusta in the 70s what Mike Bach. He was a great ball player and finished 2nd in voting to Bill Kelsch in a survey done a long time ago. The finest player to wear the Orange and Black. Kelsch finished 1 and Bach 2... 2 darn good ball players right there.
  13. I agree. Patrick Kelsch wasnt the best player to come out of Augusta, but Id say he was one of the best the school has seen. His dad, Bill was the best shooter, but Id say Brian Kirk was the best all around player to grace the Augusta gymnasium.
  14. Good Call Panther!!! I agree... He may be George Clooney
  15. I havent seen him ball in a while, but I will admit that every fundraiser Augusta has they are auctioning off one of his jerseys.
  16. as a former Augusta student and player I can only laugh at the comment about George Clooney being the best past player. HA HA HA.. I will however agree that he has been the most successful past player from Augusta.
  17. Deming hasnt been playing well of late, but Coach Massey always seems to put a competitive bunch on the floor. Since its being played in Augusta I will take the Panthers by 7 on some late FTs. However, I wont be surprised if the outcome doesnt have the Devils on top. I watched Augusta play 2 games in the Bracken Co. Christmas tournament and one game was terrible, one was good, so it all depends on which team shows up.
  18. A couple get me. 3 seconds. Ive had refs in the 10th region tell me that they are instructed not to call it anymore. Who told them that? Also, if it is a legit rule of basketball then why not inforce it? The other is Coaching box. Some refs will let you do or go wherever you want. Then you go somewhere else in the same region and a ref calls a technical for having 1 foot out of the box. I believe all referees should be on the same page.
  19. Anyone remember Bill Kelsch from Augusta in 65-66? He scored 29 a night and out scored Dave Cowens who was at NCC at the time. Dave went on an accepted a scholarship to Florida State and 4 years later was MVP in the NBA. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Bill also received scholarship offers from Florida State, Kansas, Xavier just to name a few. Anybody remember?
  20. HERE IS WHAT GETS ME??? Devilman is supposed to be DEMING through and through and doesnt have one of their best ever on that list.. What about Stephen Staggs?
  21. When you are talking about the top 25 I believe that any current player isnt deserving to be one of the best. They have to put in their time yet. Bracken - Mark Tucker, Adam Reed Paris - Quentin Sims, Corey Dumphord Deming - Stephen Staggs St. Pat - Josh Owens, Jordan Owens Augusta - Robin Kelsch, Patrick Kelsch Montgomery - Ryan Steger Harrison Co. - Marvin Boyers Just a few no one has mentioned
