That's hilarious bro. If game was at Highland Park, home of Highlands baseball, admission is nadda! So yeah, $6 for a JV game is a joke. And before you say that also covers ticket printing, ha, sounds like those are last years tickets so they are recycling. Save a tree! I've always said Highlands needs to somehow charge for games but they don't. It's cool though!

Not surprising.

Last year, I told several CCH peeps that if CCH didn't win big, then there were bigger powers messin with them than just Highlands. Highlands had some quality players last year. Problem was that CCH had more quality players and a better mindset from coaches on how to implement those players. Highlands coaches were steadfast on platooning and not adjusting personnel until late in the season. Now, would that of made a difference in the CCH game? Doubt it on the outcome, but maybe closer than final score. Definitely better than 3-8 IMO. I think with BW taking back the defense, along with a new mindset and bringing in/changing other coaches responsibilities will improve this years Highlands team. There are a lot of really nice players coming up in the system that will help immediately if positioned correctly and the parents buy into it. Add in current upper class men and they will be very good. Play the best and the success will come. Player sacrifices (change positions) are what makes the "team" better. 1st game between these two will be on a Friday night in Park Hills right? Which btw, I think is a horrible idea of giving up Sat. afternoon game advantage. But that's just me. I see this series becoming a not so one sided affair as it has been the last 10 years. Games will be much more competitive from here on out IMO.

What an awesome thread. I find it amazing that Highlands won 51 more games than CovCath did in the same period. Wonder if there is a larger disparity between the top 2 teams in the same district in the State. Take away the "downfall" of the Birds and they are probably #1 in the State. @BFritz anything? Just sayin!

Oh I'm sure. Hopefully a good experience for the kids and coaches. Something fun for them to finish out their middle school football years.

This years 14U Division features the Ft. Thomas Blue Firebirds team. They made it to the SuperBowl this year to be runner up to the Red Devils. They have some very nice athletes on their team. They play today at 11:30 against a team from Dayton Elite (Trotwood) area. Will be interesting to see how they match up with the speed of Dayton Elite. Good luck to these young men.

CovCath will show Louisville and the rest of State not named BG that they are best team in State in 5A IMO! Again, this NKY district continues to dominate year after year at this stage of the playoffs. Another Refional Championship for 5A NKY! Blueboys win 35-14.

Huh! Which players? I couldn't see many the other night from our vantage point up high on the rooftop. #75 maybe and receivers were tall and lanky, not physically bigger. Well, bigger than Highlands yeah but not CCH. Especially Zig. He alone will manhandle several at a time. I see the Colonels 35-7 over Doss.
