Well in the great state of KY we are able to take only 2 a year with regular tags. So by me doing scouting. I am able to take a nice rack and meat at the same time. I have until sometime in January since I bow hunt too. I am a patient person so I do have some time. I dont trophy hunt, because man you save a lot of money by having that freezer full, but You dont eat the head... at least I dont.:thumb:

Well just so you know, I'm not going to tell you where I hunt, but they are from "titletown" More like out in the "County"....

Sittin 25 feet up in a tree with no one nagging at you about anything, the tree swaying a little from side to side. Just enough for you to get all cozy and fall asleep, then you hear the crackle of some leaves and branches, and BOOM!

You are correct, but I have heard of instances where Danes live to be 12 to 14 years old. Mine are both house dogs with a decent sized fenced in yard to run in. Hopefully with being taken great care of they can live to be that 12 - 14 years old. I truely hope they do anyway!!:cry:

they do shed, but its so fine you can barely see it. We vaccum once a week and we really never see any on the floor. Now as for on your white shirt, it is possible you will see some hair

yup, he was the pricey one of they two. His dad weighed in at 190 and his mom was 170. Laila's dad was 170 and mom was 140. She is a much more slender dane as to where he is more to the masive side. And I do know that it's color is "blue" and not "grey" but everyone around says grey so my wife and I just went along instead of explaining everytime!

It was a big concern with us as well. But its just if you dont manage their food. If you just sit a huge bowl of food out there, they'll just keep eating and eating. Mine are 11 months and 6 months and we feed them 2 times a day, AM and PM. They look skinny for the longest time but its just where they grow so fast. They say that it is good that they are that way though because you dont want to create too much stress(weight) on their hips and legs. We feed them Purina Dog chow (11month) and Puppy Chow (6 month). Our vet told us that your pup should be on puppy chow for the 1st year, we went kind of early with the first one but our second is still on it and doing great!
