I agree. Cov Cath played ok but still need to be able to step up and beat someone. I thought they were headed in the right direction. (Or maybe I just hoped they were) There is something missing from this team. I looked at this game as a measuring stick. They seem to be winning the games they are supposed to and loosing the games they are supposed to. See what happens against Bishop Brossart :confused: :confused:

Great game. The refs had nothing to do with the outcome. Cov Cath played good. They got beat by a better team. Scott Co. is a good YOUNG team. Scott Co. had no seniors on the floor most of the night. Sophmores and juniors are the key players on that team. The point guard was a senior but he was so so. This team is going to be very good next year. They were more athletic than the Colonels. Good game colonels, Scott Co. is just a better team in my opinion.

I would agree with this. I think the 9th region is way way down. I thought Holmes would be better tonight. Cov Cath always plays them tough. Anyone can win this region. I didn't think the refs were that bad. Every set of refs calls games differently. I certainly do my share of yelling at them, but you couldn't pay me enough to do their job. What a thankless job. Does anyone know what they get paid per game? Was a good game. This region is up for grabs.

Just wanted to apologize for some of my assanine comments the other day about you guys not being prepared for this game. They were purely selfish comments on my part because I wanted to see the game so bad and had been looking forward to seeing it. What a great environment. What Bishop Brossart did before the game recognizing the young men from the different armed forces was awesome. Great job, great environment, a job well done. Again sorry for the stupid comments. I kept hearing about Pendleton County and how good they were from people I know who live there. I witnessed it myself last night. I had seen Bishop Brossart play already and knew they were good. Folks, Pendleton Co. is clearly the best team in Northern Ky. They have crushed Holmes, beat a good Bishop Brossart team twice this year. They have as good a starting five as you will find. Good guards, good inside people and a great coach and a strong devoted fan base. Hats off to Pendleton Co. and their whole fan base. Very Impressive. I heard their coach is a Cov Cath grad, does anyone know when he graduated from CCH?

This whole thing was poorly handled by Bishop Brossart. Of course looking into a different place to play 2 days before it is supposed to be played would cause a problem. This whole thing has come out exactly as Bishop Brossart wanted. I feel sorry for the Pendleton County people not being able to attend the game. Bishop Brossart doesn't get to play in many games like this and should have known weeks ago the interest in this game and addressed at that time. Poorly handled but predictable. I love how they made it look like they attempted to get it moved. Gee, way to look into it a couple days before the actual event. Hope all 78 people in the gym enjoy it. Great point. It is not that Cov Cath is playing that bad. The 9th region is very balanced and any of the top 8 teams can knock each other off on given night. Cov Cath has some questions no doubt. TJ is not one of them, he is the last of their concerns. Last night they ran into a team that plays great defense and is well coached. TJ had 21 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. WOW! There is way to much focus on how people handle TJ in this half or that half, how he maybe forces things, that is all useless garbage. He is the only consistent part of the team. It is what it is. They are just like any other team, when you rely on 1 player as they are right now, you will get beat by teams who are well coached. With Timmy back he will only help but you cant have TJ getting 21 of the 54 points all the time. Gotta have more scoring out of other positions period. It was a GREAT game played by two evenly matched teams. Neither team has nothing to be ashamed about. Great environment, great rivalry, great hard nosed clean basketball played. It doesn't get much better than last nights game. Best 5 bucks I have spent in awhile. It is what it is!!!!

To funny!! First of all I think Todd had something like 18 points. It cracks me up when he gets 18 points, plays great defense, has assists, someone can critic his game. I guess he needs to drop 37 points every game to make some people happy. Kurt Bovard, Tim T. and Joe Landrum had good minutes against Beechwood. Where is the front line? There must be some production out of the three inside positions.

They did sing "You lost that loving feeling".

Not sure what game you were at but Cov Cath got beat on the boards AGAIN 38-35 by a much smaller team. Only good thing I saw on Cov Caths part was limiting Michael Romes to 2 field goals and 13 points. The Moore kid from Beechwood had a good game, and their center had good minutes. :walk:

Billy Schult does show signs of being a good rebounder. If he gets into foul trouble, the rebounding drops off. Would you happen to have access to stats. I would love to know what the rebounding stats are. How many did Billy have against Elder and against Owensboro? I wasn't comparing this team to 2004 team. Trying to make a point about rebounding aspect to teams of the past. Attitude comes along with rebounding and I don't see it this year. They kinda went into a drought last year then snapped out a little. Hopefully they snap out of this one also. SOON!!!!! :fight:

Cov. Cath simply has no inside presence at all. They seldom get to the free throw line because noone inside takes the ball to the basket. The last two games the two major differences were indicators of NO inside presence. There is noone who wants to go inside and get rebounds. Elder game was something like 53 to 22 (embarassing) and I heard tonights was something like being outrebounded by at least 20. If someone has the stats please post. I am not sure if playing with the lineup will matter. These guys don't like to go to war like some of the teams in the past have. Erpenbeck was a flat out rebounding machine along with Votel and before that Wachs and co. Other scoring options besides Jacobs along with someone who wants to get rebounds needs to surface quick. Where is Dennis Rodman when you need him? :sleep:

Why WOW?

That Elder team (ranked 6th in Cincy) was well coached. They are a young team. Elder plays good defense and plus getting outrebounded by 53- 22 is embarassing, by a team that was probably smaller than Cov. Cath. I was shocked at the effort. They all need a major kick in the butt to get pointed in the right direction. Cov Cath is better than that. I hope!! :confused:

:walk: NO WAY Coach R. gets considered. Coach Ray handed over a good solid team. This years Colonels started off OK beating teams that were weak locally. The progress of a team is a reflection of the coaching staff. We will see what kind of coach he is next year. He and his staff get a C- in my book. You have to beat at least one team you arent supposed to and he could not do this. He was never able to get this team back from the drubbing they received in Columbus. :walk:

Sandman, with all do respect. Dixie does not even come close to being one of the bigger rivals for Cov Cath. Even though they have had the losses you refer to. For Dixie it is a HUGE game. Dixie is very good, but it is not just there for the fans, players, alumni of Cov Cath. Clearly Highlands, and the GCL schools are up there. Have spoken to many Dixie students, players and alumni. Playing Cov Cath is definately their biggest game in all sports. Now baseball is a different story, Cov Cath's rival is Dixie. But not in any other sport. By the way you have some of the best posts on here. You clearly are a fan of Northern Ky. High School sports that always has positive things to say and is never pulled into some of the mud slinging that takes place. :walk:
