I watched some of this game. The box and 1 that Owensboro played, at times, really seemed to get the Colonels out of sinc.

Surely the box and 1 was played on Jacobs, and I wouldn't be surprised if several teams in the 9th saw this game (if the box and 1 was truly that effective) and decide to use that against the Colonels. Other than Jacobs, I really believe that their offense is limited. Bovard can create but not nearly as well and as effectively as Jacobs. With Timmy out, I would not be surprised if teams attempt to take Jacobs out of the game and make the other 4 colonels try to score.

CCH is struggling and has to find a pg and a threat other than TJ. Timmy is being missed desperatly.

Owens Cath has a nice team but not much depth. The big man in the middle is pretty good and they play great defense.

Sounds like a rough game for the Colonels.

Did TJ get to play the point at all?

Is Bovard still coming off the bench?

I'd imagine Coach Listerman will make some changes this weekend...

Tim goes to the dr. on thursday and a chance the cast will come off. But if it does he still has atleast a week or two of physical therapy. This could be the best news CCH has heard in a week.

While Tierney will definitely help the Colonels, their performances without them have been a bit disappointing. Their guard play is, without a doubt, the strength of this team. As a result, you would think that the loss of TT somebody would step up accordingly. Apparently that has not happened.

What was the starting lineup for this game?

I would like to see this lineup:

Jacobs

Bovard

Noll

Young

Schult

Line up was:

Brown

Jacobs

Noll

Schult

Young

Here is the line up I would think would work

Bovard

Jacobs

Landrum

Young

Cahill

Bring Schult and Noll off the bench to bring a spark. They play better coming off the bench IMO. Cahill gives you some more on offense. When its Brown and Shcult starting the offensive side becomes 3 on 5. Just MY Opinion though.

I too would also like to see Cahill play a little more. He is more athletic then all of their big guys and I think with the style they are playing, with pressing and applying pressure, Cahill could make some things happen.

I also think its so important to have a spark off the bench. When cov cath won the region in 2004, I'm pretty sure Erpenbeck was coming off the bench and he gave that team great energy. Cov Cath has not had great production off the bench besides Bovard, who I believe should be starting.

Cov. Cath simply has no inside presence at all. They seldom get to the free throw line because noone inside takes the ball to the basket. The last two games the two major differences were indicators of NO inside presence. There is noone who wants to go inside and get rebounds. Elder game was something like 53 to 22 (embarassing) and I heard tonights was something like being outrebounded by at least 20. If someone has the stats please post. I am not sure if playing with the lineup will matter. These guys don't like to go to war like some of the teams in the past have. Erpenbeck was a flat out rebounding machine along with Votel and before that Wachs and co. Other scoring options besides Jacobs along with someone who wants to get rebounds needs to surface quick. Where is Dennis Rodman when you need him?
