Somerset @ Williamsburg
I've never experienced bad sportsmanship from Williamburg. At least when they lose to you, they don't make excuses, like the field was dry or something about a middle school defense. You're right they don't have many stands, but at Williamsburg the priority is on academics, they spend money on things to help a kid get an education not to make sure the visiting team's fans are comfortable!

Somerset @ Williamsburg
Last I checked it's ALL thier home field. So I would assume they can sit and stand whereever they like. Seems like you would have better things to gripe about then where the Jacket fans stand/sit.

Could this be a long year for North and South Laurel
Since I started this thread, I should probably own up to my mistake!! Early tough schedules had more to do with their 0-2 start than did any glaring deficency. Both Laurel schools are good, I expect both to make the playoffs!!!:thumb:

The Colonels didn't fold against Lynn Camp:walk:

Corbin vs. Bell County
I would think with smaller districts that there will be more opportunities for close geographic rivals like this to play. If they dont' play it will be for some other reason than scheduling conflicts.

Lynn Camp Vs Pineville Predictions
I just don't see it. I don't see any reason why Pineville would have a shot in this game. Lynn Camp is used to losing a lot of non district games, because they have always played such a tough schedule, so there's no need to panic. Lynn Camp's a solid team. They've played a tough schedule. Pineville will be BY FAR the easiest team the LC has played. Lynn Camp should roll, 46-7. If they play poorly, LC will still win 31-14.

WYMT's Top 10
Harlan is good, don't get me wrong. But I just don't see them on the same level as South Laurel - or North Laure l or Whitley County for that matter. I just don't see them deserving of a spot for what they have done so far.

Corbin vs. Bell County
We'll see what the hounds are holding. Bell must be good, they gave Henry Clay all they wanted. IF they can play close to Bell it will be a good sign, if they can win, it will be a great sign. I just don't see it. Bell wins 31-17. Corbin still wins out and captures their district.

Lynn Camp Vs Pineville Predictions
I read a lot, post very little. But what I have found, is that unless you're a Corbin kid, True Redhound has very little positive to say about you. There are MANY MANY great contributors to this forum that are loyal Redhound fans, True Redhounds isn't one of them. I see no reason why Lynn Camp won't dominate this game. Pineville can't have improved that much in one year.

WYMT's Top 10
The only problems I see are: SOuth Laurel should be there ahead of Southwestern. Both have the same record and SL just beat SW. Does anyone really think if Harlan and SL played that SL wouldn't win???? So SL should definately be in there. Also, I think Rock should have dropped more than a spot with a loss. At this point, I'd say Bell is ahead of SL. The Bobcats played Henry Clay close in their only loss. Rock's loss to Lincoln is a little suspect right now. I'm sure LC is a quality team, but not like Henry Clay.

Whitley County vs Shelby County (Predictions)
All I can say is the largest dam is felled by the smallest crack. why start a crack at this point? First we need to pass more, then we need to run more....... All I'm saying is the coach has an offensive package. Let him run it. You may have studied the game, but I doubt you know more than he does.

Then why did you post it in the first place????

Week 3 Williamsburg vs McCreary Central predictions anyone
I'm lost. How would be safety of the players be served by moving the game??? I don't see any risk factor in playing the game today at 4:30 other than that darkness might come a bit early because of overcast skies. I don't see the issue, it's McCreary's home game if they want to play early - so be it.

Whitley County vs Shelby County (Predictions)
first the fans were smarter than Coach Campbell, they said he should pass more. Now they are smarter than coach black, he should run more. It seems as though everyone has all the answers. I personally think BOTH coaches did/do a good job and the fans should cheer and not try to coach. While your comments may not be meant to be critical, all they do is start to drive a small wedge in the system and create doubt. AND, I mean this in the most respectful way, most fans don't know near as much as they think they do. When they attend all practices, weight lifting sessions, film breakdown sessions, coaches meetings, deal with the players all day THEN MAYBE you might have close to enough info to start making suggestions. And that would ONLY be if you had enough knowledge to be on the staff (most fans think they do but don't) Since none of you were hired for the job, I'd suggest that you leave the coaching to Black and staff, they are more than capable of determing the best course of action. You have to remember, Black isn't here to build a team, he's here to rekindle a championship caliber program. It might mean more bumps in the road in the short term, but in the long run - the program will be far better off. Mountainmut, topgun and others - quit your griping and questions, jump on board, it will be a fun ride. It may not be as exciting this year, but it will down the road!

Could this be a long year for North and South Laurel
We'll through two weeks, two blowouts each. Possible losses in week #3 for a combined 0-6 start. Things do not look good for the Laurel County schools.

Oldham County 34 Corbin 20
There's nothing wrong with being predictable. As long as you can execute. BUT when the offense isn't moving the ball and not putting points on the board, you have to look at whether the scheme jives with the players. Being a good coach means adjusting to what you have.

Could this be a long year for North and South Laurel
We'll know more after this weekend, if South and North are both thumped again - it will signal the start of a bad season for both. The Laurel schools had two outstanding coaches, Duncam and Irwin - but weren't able to keep either. I think they took huge steps backward with both hires. IMO.

Could this be a long year for North and South Laurel
I never suggested that they be "given up on", I merely think that it will be a dissappointing year for both squads. I hope not. but that is what I fear.

6 Class System is NOT Watered Down
The KHSAA is so money hungry, that if that was the policy, they would use it for a fundraising tool!

Could this be a long year for North and South Laurel
Will this be a rough year for the two schools from Laurel County??? South Laurel handled in week 1 by a less than mediocre team from a year ago. North Laurel stomped by a good 3A team. It seems to me that both needed better showings if they want to compete in 4A this season.

McCreary County 30 Powell Co 8
I wouldn't call Oneida an "extremely good team". They lost AT HOME to Williamsburg last year and the Jackets missed the single A playoffs in Kentucky. I think Onieda is an average team at best.
